Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

Yeah, c'mon Rapper. "How the league could allow it"? What does that mean? Would rule would that break? The Ironbank Seniors had quite a few spare hands in September, any of those guys out there running/water?

c'mon rapper your digging pretty deep now to have a go at lofty ways. how could anyone find something wrong with an A grade coach showing an interest in the future of the club. im sure most A grade coaches are still of an age where they could still run so other than pagey (who would obviously chafe terribly because of the leather pants) why dont more coaches show the samw interest. have noticed sutherland running drinks for his B's. but dont notice too many others arrive that early at a game.. by the way in case your wandering our u17s runner injured himself at uraidla two weeks ago, hence the replacement.

G.F finally here boys get involved!!!!!!!!!!!

Rapper wrote:The under 17's game was the highlight of the day. As for the fights it was hardly anything to worry about. I do question how the league could allow the A grade coach to be the runner in the 17's for Lofty. Not sure how fair that was to Ironbank. Anyone agree, disagree?

Le Grainge put his hand up to do it after the regular runner tore his calf muscle during the previous game. He did it because he is a massive believer in developing your juniors. And what better way to build a relationship between juniors and seniors than to be their runner. He was the boundary umpire all year for the U17's so he could keep an eye on the talent. It's called being a club man, and I'm sure the other clubs wish their A grade coach showed as much enthusiasm. Get around him!!!

indian, im not sure if confusing two brothers for each other really stands up to a team being disqualified from a chance at the flag. whats more important a mail medal or a flag? i know what id rather. although easy for me to say, its safe to say ill never win a mail. D'oh!
still feel for the two boys who werent sure whether theyd won or not, well done to the eventual winner.

The Advocate only feels an affinity for Nathan "Dave" Grainger because they both suffer from the extremely debilitating disease of "Custard Arm". I've seen more pies thrown at Darren Jarman at the footy than by those two on a Saturday!

Picks for the Weekend!
A's - Everyone has picked Urididla all year and they haven't beaten the Devils so I pick Uri's to win, because they won't!
B's - Uri's are all still pissed from Mad Monday last week and haven't realised that they have another game to play so Lofty on a forfeit.
17's - Blackwood, very hard from the Elimination Final to the GF for Lofty. Pistols to get the guns out though (get it?).
14's - Barker, they will steal the other teams cars the night before so they can't get to the ground!

However, these picks are only guesses, in GFs anything can happen and wouldn't be suprised if the total opposite occurs! Bring on the weekend!

Sorry ladies and gents by my comment. I actually said it to see what people thought. The reality is that Im just jealous that our coach doesn't do the same thing. Good on the bloke.
It sparked some good conversation away from how much someone is getting paid each game.

My Grand Final Tips
A Grade- Mt Lofty by 15 points. The Devils have had the wood over the Dees all year and this will continue. Scott Wood is my tip for BOG
B Grade- Mt Lofty by 30 points. I just think Mt Lofty will have too much speed for the older legs of Uraidla. BOG Tip- Rob O'Gorman
Under 17's- Im tipping an upset, Mt Lofty by 8 points. I just think that Blackwood may take the Devils too lightly. I dont know much about the 17s but my BOG Tip is young Radbone from Mt Lofty. He seems a very good player
Under 14's- Mt Barker easily, Tom Hughes seems to be a good choice for BOG.

OTB - you seem to know more than you give yourself credit for. In my opinion Josh Radbone is the reason our U17's made the GF. His work rate around the ball is second to none, and he's hard as nails just like his old man. To see him in the last quarter totally shagged, but still throwing himself at the ball 100% every time was a lesson many senior players could take on board.

yeah good call rapper, its finals now who cares who earns what. we all want the same thing, a premiership!

my tips. (obviously from a devils view)
A's Devils by about 4 goals. if the devils are up at 3quarter time uris no hope, i believe, but uris would have to be up by at least 5-6 to win. BOG- Flash Gordon

B's devils by 7 goals there should be about 6 quality players in that didnt play when uris beat them this year. BOG- Mark Sinclair

17's Devils in upset- 9points. showed excellent courage last week and will be able to it again. s. maslin had a quiet game aswell. i think though if blackwood, the form side all year, win it could be a blow out.BOG- (dont know any blackwood players so- Shane Maso.

14's id say barker easily. 7-8 goals have heard ironbank have a young gun though could be BOG in a losing team.

enjoy the day everyone they dont always come around..
p.s lets not have any div2 antics on the side lines. keep it happy lads. but still drink plenty of sherberts!!

i think its too early to say whether anyone will be playing. its always a long week before a GF, anything could happen. although who ever wins the 4 games, im sure theyd want to beat the best side they can..

Racer should be good to go, but there is another injury concer, a guy a bit prone to them...
And by the sounds, a nice fat needle in MT leg should get him through.
