Ray hasnt got much good numbers at trainings so far. Unless others having same problems with this we wont start off as fit this year.

Not sure about Sollies and Lions, but Ports seem to be doing more work off the field with a camera rather than footy training.. If anyone is not aware of what I'm talking about, youtube "We are Ports".

I doubt the youtube videos have anything to do with Ports performance on the training track 3 in a row, it is one guys uni studies that are behind the 'We are Ports' clips. Ports have had good numbers out, and had a well attended training camp on the weekend.

i can only go on last season, the games i watched, all had central augusta in them. imho i reckon centrals could knock of most sides in d3 if not all (when there on). i reckon they would be competitive in d2, but they would suit d3 more.... but there is know way you can really say though... good standard of footy. In the reserves comp, there is a BIG gap between them and the A grade sides. which is normal for most country comps.

i really enjoyed watching the bloods last season... good club 8)

I reckon you have Central placed a little too high; at full strength they might be good enough to make a D4 gf.

Does anyone have any info on the Ground redevelopment supposedly taking place at Central Oval mid 2012. I've heard games are going to be played at ETSA oval and Chinnery Park in Port Augusta whilst the development takes place? Anyone in the know?

Looks like South Augusta will be favorites for 2012, sounds like they have recruited well and are going to be fit to start the year. Apart from Souths it doesn't look like the personnel changes will be that great for 2012, early rumors are yet to become fact in most cases.

My end of season prediction/ ladder looks like this.......

Souths
Ports
Centrals
Sollies
West
Lions

Na what I have seen in 4 years of saafl footy, the top teams in the league would be a mid table in Div 2 to a very competitive Div 3 side, then it drops off quickly. Based on last year Central, port, south and west would have been very competitive sides and could easily beaten flinders Park (DIV3 Premiers) on their day. But sollies would been about top Div 4 standard and lions would be around Div 4 to Div 5.

It is always a strongly debated topic when comps are compared. When people get caught up in this argument I think they forget that the SAAFL divisions are designed to maintain a consistent standard throughout the divisions due to relegation etc The premiers in each country comp set the standard their comp is rated at and this can vary from year to year, depending on who comes into town etc. So its hard to even compare between neighbouring associations unless you get to half a dozen games a season in each comp. 95% of people who make these comparisons obviously would not do this. I think those qualified to have a punt probably wouldnt do so anyway because of the arrogance it implies. Its normally an ego thing isnt it - my club/comp is better than yours! Just a thought, play on!

So... Has West Augusta signed Appleton from Weroona Bay as hinted on the Whyalla forum?

Anyone care to make a list of ins and outs for each club?

I've seen plenty of games in the past years. But how many games from the sgfl have you seen since your stint at west. Any of last years grand finalist could beaten them. But it is correct depends on year to year. On my observation the comp is improving and competition is becoming closer.

Hahaha silla I've seen a few mate. Thought u would b a centrals lad now? Thing that gets me is your saying central, port, south & west could EASILY beat flinders park, that means the div 3 premiers would b lucky to make finals in the SGL.
