Ok fair enough, somehow I think the two may be linked. Were they big names who you heard may be leaving?

Apparently his sacking more about not meeting set criteria - Onkas seem to be making a habit of NOT choosing wisely - whats that now...7 coaches in 8 years - surely time is nigh for an overhaul at the top.

Yes they have but I don't know the reasoning behind it.

Can't wait to hear from Lebron and football mad on this one!

Just wow, about 2 months from the start of a season and these guys do what to their club!

I really hope the coach was sleeping with the president/captain/treasurer's wife? Because that is really the only excuse!

Well there goes my predictions for Onkas then, who to replace them in the 5?????

We'll run with Ironbank just over Lobethal, only cause I hate Lobethal! ;)

Only 2 clearances so far, both from Bridgewater with Luke McLean and Lachlan Staniford both leaving to try there luck playing SANFL Football. I know Luke McLean has gone to South, where has Staniford gone too?

There are also a couple of pending ones from the Greater Southern Football League in Branden Clinton and Matthew Stanbury. I wonder where they could be going too?

And we find out soon if there has been any movement from Onka's to Torrens Valley or wherever else, because I'm sure they'll put in for clearances immediately :o

along with your playing style im gonna have to disagree :) As they havent lost any of their players (to date) i dont think this will have a major effect. As someone pointed out to me about 6 hours ago, when they sacked Stringer a few round in they were something like 0 and 5 but ended up finishing 4th so you cant leave dead weight in the top job.
I also think we have all learnt by now Onkas love to take there place in september just scrapping in the 5.
My tip =
Mt Barker
Uraidla
Mt Lofty
Blackwood
Onkas
Ironbank
Hahndorf
Lobethal
Torrens Valley
Bridgewater

I mentioned this late last year and was told no way. I had it on good authority that White was coming back up. White wouldn't attrect too many points i wouldn't think as he played a few season at Lofty a few years back. VERY handy acquisition and badly needed up front.

Word on the street is that there maybe movement out of Blackwood's Seniors Colts to rival local clubs.

Not sure on exact numbers at the moment but there is one players that has most definitely left to play in a rival league. The club would be Flagstaff Hill and the player is Daniel Philp.

It looks like they have a new payment system in place as well  Could this mean a downfall in the Blackwood team this year?

You can add Barrie Schoell to that list as he coached after Stringers 5 games. Dave Thomas too in 05, although I think you mixed him up with Ray Ladhams. And Troy Bond in 02. So with the new coach its probably more accurate to say 8 in 9 years.

I heard a whisper that Onka's have thrown huge coin at a lot of different players and a number of them said no because they didn't want to be coached by Evo. The committee got wind of what was going on and realised that the only way they would have any chance of recruiting any of their targets was to move Evo aside.

Anyone heard a similar story?
