A bit of gloom about bridgey on here, is this based on the earlier rumours of an exodus and no recruits etc? If Lobey improve Bridgey could find themselves with a spoon.
Lebron - why do you have Lofty as the big improvers?

I don't know who your source is Vaughan, but Blackwood hasn’t, didn't and will not pay there senior colts, this a big load of c**p and a sense a hit of jealousy because some of the best talent left a piss-hole of a club in Bridgewater and moved to Blackwood because of friendships and wanting to be part of a successful team, not because there being paid.

Fell for it, Newsbreaker.
A lot of rumours re TV recruits. Do they have ANY locals lined up?
Gotta agree with MC, as I stated earlier - surely the Roos and Uris are gonna be up there again. Clubs like IB, Onkas, even Lobey have recruited, Lofty a couple. Depending how many of these rumours come into fruition, this could be a very competitive and even year. In just a week and a bit we should be able to see the legitimate transfers...

hi breaker
you boneheaded imbecile... you headhunt some of our best up and coming young talent and then have the nerve to label the mighty RAIDERS as a piss-hole of a club!!!
dont know how the poaching took place but i will tell you something for free.. you couldnt get me to defect to blackwood for all the video games this side of japan!!!
not sure if you are some kide of simpleton or not but i was applauding your recruitment and payment approach... being the well reknowned businessman i am i know that third party offerings can sweeten even the duddest of deals!!!
as for being jealous you have got to be damn kidding me you buffoon... yes i am slightly bitter over the departure of m.richter (our former esteemed recruiting honcho) but i will be deep in the cold cold ground before i would wear the red and green.
was a shame we lost the young fella... have a feeling optimus could have really moulded him into one of the RAIDER greats.

Vaughan you are worth every dollar of your Ed Harry suit. Maybe if big fans of the club, like yourself, with lots of corporate connections and big money brought money to the Bridgewater board, they may get some decent recruits and get them back into the lofty heights of your fantasies Vaughnie!

Will any of this summer's recruits give the mail medal a run for its money? If not, Fisher will walk it in!

Its called arrogance chopper and I hope it bites the Mt. Barker in the ass, just like in the Grand Final last year. You pay a couple of SANFL Players the big bucks to come to your team, and then don't win.
Let’s hope it happens again!!!!

My tip for this year is Uraidla to be around the mark again, because they got heaps of tough-bodied players, with win you finals. With Mt. Lofty, Blackwood, Mt. Barker challenging.
For the bottom it will be Bridgewater, Lobethal and Torrens (you can’t just rely on imports to win you games, you need good local players)

too right mate!! i tend to agree with ya with uris they have a very well balanced team but two if the eberts are training down at nth adelaide and they were a big part of their team so if they were to be outs this year they are two pretty big holes to fill!! your right about torrens valley they will come up with so much confidence and arrogence and just be shot down when they get smashed round 1 by uris so they will be fighting it out the spoon with ironbank n bridgeys i think!! the biggest movers will be onkas and loby i think both have picked up some handy players over the summer and it would be great to see two of the old rivals move back from the bottom half of the ladder to the top!!! all in all i am predicted a very even central comp this year!!

Wow NB you really went out on a limb with those predictions! So you think there will be no changes from last year?

Yeah I know I didn't go out on a limb, because these four club are always up the top of the ladder, and I don't see much change in 2011. If anything, Blackwood will drop off the pace somewhat and maybe Ironbank, Hahndorf, and Onkas will improve somewhat. But it will be pretty much the same as the last few years because these are the clubs, that pay the most money and have the best junior programs.

And I heard from a strong source, that Damien Gigney may possibly try and make a come-back later in the year.

I'd imagine that barker, Uris, Lofty and Blackwood are up there in player payments, but all the talk pre season 2010 would have suggested that Bridgey shelled out more. I think that hahndorf would be up there and with the reported recruiting over Christmas, Ironbank too. In fact, going by the last 2 years and rumours on here, Onkas may only be the smallest spender with everyone else forking out.

I'd imagine the two clubs you left out there in TV and Loby are at either end of the scale as far as payments go. Apparently its Gary Hughes's dream to beat Loby, should be interesting to see the results the first time they meet.

Gary Hughes is the biggest knobshine in the HFL!!! can hardly say he has been a successful coach at TV with spending over 200K in 3 or 4 years and only coming out with 1 flag from it!! surely they will be looking else where for a coach with an actual understanding of how to coach now they have stepped up a grade!! if not they are well an truely F**Ked!!!

Saw him walking around Bunnings the other day. Had a very obvious limp and still looked quite proppy. I hear it was a pretty bad break. Tough for anyone to come back from that after 30 - especially a guy who would be close to 35 by now. Good luck to him though

hi all
must admit that despite already making my opinions on torrens valley well known, i have a great deal of respect for mr hughes because much like me he has succeeded in todays cruel contemporary business world. he has great passion for his club (dont know why but some people think im a little bit biased towards bridgewater), and he has acheived the ultimate... he is a premiership mentor. good luck to mr. hughes in division one. my son and i cant wait for his head to head coaching match up with optimus... it will be like two worlds colliding.

Not sure how to confirm, but word is Kerber not playing. Apparently a bit of a rift with teammates, but must admit its hard to believe anything this time of year.
