Lions B grade coach none other than Damien Fozzie Foster. I believe he will be a playing coach.

Doin plenty of running - haven't touched a footy yet. Will be good to welcome back C Heron &
D Brushnahan
who will be like new recruits having missed last season through injury.

i think a 'd.brusnahan' played in the 2's last season daniel brusnahan. do you mean 's.brusnahan' simon?? not a bad player reliable backman?? so those 2 guys plus big money signings and city slickers (adelaide) totally new side this season??
mctaggart?? at westies that is interesting he was one that put in for the souths last 2 years? has he ever had ne thing to do with the hawks/.?

sorry kinghit not one of my finer moments just got confused because i was talking about south augusta and it sounded as though i was talking about central augusta. you know the side that southies always seem to bag the bloods about the way they run there club. and before you say it king hit i know i should of said they way the bloods run the port augusta sporting and social club.

A few moves starting to take shape in the SGL Clearances with a few more to come obviously...
Central: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info. ... -0&a=CLEAR
Port: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info. ... -0&a=CLEAR
Lions: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info. ... -0&a=CLEAR
Sollies: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info. ... -0&a=CLEAR
South: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info. ... -0&a=CLEAR
West: http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info. ... -0&a=CLEAR

A few surprises for me in there with the moves among the different SGL clubs in particular. Sollies appear to be recruiting a fair few early on, does anyone know anything about the 3 boys from Cove? South have added some top class to their list with the boys from the amateur league and also Horner from Broughton. The rumoured exodus from Centrals and West with the coaching changes are yet to appear but West have lost McKerlie to Solly and gained the services of Dean Steele from Lions and also Jamie Jackson from Centrals - what are big brother Peter's plans this season? I also notice Tyron George's clearance from Lions to Broughton has been denied, anyone know why?

Have been told that the lads from cove go k. midfeilder that one mail medal in 2010 in the Eyre Penisuila, other CHF and the other FF I think he kicked 50 odd goals playing 75% of the season.

posted on here a while ago, that millard won a mail medal with us, cummins kapinnie cougars in great flinders league. sgl is a step up but he is very quick, two sided player. hails from penong (tough breed up there!). jaryden stoezer has also signed. he played for lincoln south and eyre peninsula. is a chf, very big but needs to be fit to be any good. would be handy.

I imagine with those 3 and McKerlie Sollies must be close to their points allocation? What are the allocations this season has anything official been noted?

From what I understand you are zero points if you are going back to the club you started at?

some good work by Sollies getting a few back this way.

Very quiet from the Squids but I am let to believe they picked up someone from the Heccies in the amateur league.

Just out of curiosity how would people rate this comp compared to SAAFL Divs? For example would be competetive against Div 3 sides.

i can only go on last season, the games i watched, all had central augusta in them. imho i reckon centrals could knock of most sides in d3 if not all (when there on). i reckon they would be competitive in d2, but they would suit d3 more.... but there is know way you can really say though... good standard of footy. In the reserves comp, there is a BIG gap between them and the A grade sides. which is normal for most country comps.

i really enjoyed watching the bloods last season... good club 8)

With all clubs in full pre season training, what teams are shaping up the best? And who are the players that are going to be worth the gate fee to watch play?
