The Willaston boys are very chirpy after their win in the wet against Kapunda - one bloke reckons they will knock off Tanunda this weekend!
Can Nuriootpa push Barossa at Williamstown? Might depend on how wet it is. Looks like Nuri had trouble at Angaston Oval.
Freeling travel up to Angaston and will have a lot of trouble of their own getting a win there.
Match of the round Gawler Central v South Gawler. Very tough to pick. GC surprised by Nuri, then beat an ordinary Freeling. South also fixed up Freeling then had the bye. Dead set coin toss!

There is no way the inner sanctum of Willaston consider themselves alongside the might of Tanunda after playing one game against an ageing Kapunda list, they would be looking forward to the challenge but i seriously doubt they would be too concerned about what the scoreboard shows against the Wine Barrons in Round 3.

All reports so far indicate that Tan could end up setting a record of consecutive wins this year. Does anyone know what the BLG record for consecutive A grade wins is..?

Willaston to win
Nurioopta to beat Barossa
Angaston to get 2 in a row
Gawler Central to get over South in the local derby

have to agree there pinch hitter, kapunda do not have a strong list at all and will be on the end of some big hidings this year, they would already be looking forward to the freeling game where they may be able to snatch a win.
tanunda would need to have a very off day for the donnybrooks to even get close IMO. saw them demolish angaston, they were awesome and angaston came out and smashed nuri who many were predicting to finish very high up.

tanunda to win by 25-35 (but be good for the comp if willaston could get up at home)
nuri by 40-50, but this could be alot closer if its still wet
angaston by 80-90
central by 40-50 ( bayliss huge loss for south on top of all the players they lost in the off season, their recruits no where near as good as losses)

i think your right there drifter but that wouldve been pre BL&G. in the BL&G i would imagine nuri would hold the record although i think there was only one undefeated season in the premiership years. maybe south gawler under mullet might have put a few together, tex would know that i would imagine

Interesting week this one with the self proclaimed messiah coming up against the equivalent of ronald dale...the man with the mo - well ex moe anyway. IMO if coach seelander can set some of his structures up that frustrated some of the A1 clubs last year with his understrength Broadies team we may see a closer result that most predict. Willaston will need to get the most out of their more seasoned and matured bodied players as this is where Tanunda's strength lies. If Casey can find form it will go along way to having a very competitive Donnies outfit but don't think we will see the upset this week.

It is not to often a team goes through any season undefeated so for the Tanunda As and Bs to do it last year highlights their depth. They have started well in 09 smashing both the panthers and now the pups. While I believe there have been some strong sides in the 90s and 2000s the competition has nearly always seen a near impossible loss bob up every now and again.

I hold a lot of respect for the Willaston football club even though we shared a feirce rivalry in my playing days. If anyone can put a stop to Tanunda's winning streak its the Donnybrooks this weekend at home. If Seelander has done his homework and can get his troops believing in that legenadary Donnybrooks spirit he may just be able to conjour up a victory.

We are looking forward to the local derby against South Gawler at Tiger land, its always a physical contest and i expect this encounter to be nothing less. Craig Dawes first time at the helm against bitter rivals South Gawler will put his coaching ability to the test. He will need to keep all emotions in check and a cool head in what is going to be a desperate attempt for both teams to take the points and the all important bragging rights at the Bushman Hotel.

My tips are as follows,
Willaston 1-12 points
Angaston 61-70 points
Nuriootpa 31-40 points
Gawler Centrals 41-50 points

Stewart White would be one of the best backman in this league, very rarely gets beaten!! Bet if you asked the gun forwards who they rate, his name would come up often! Under rated by you guys but definitely not by those at angaston. We love him!! Can also play forward with great effect.

Stewey "the mild mannered green grocer" White is undoubtable the most underrated silver fox on that list.
As per Toronto, ask most forwards and they would say that the "green grocer" has chewed them up, spat them out, shaken there hand, had a shower and not even murmured a bad word to his opponent.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?
