can anyone shed any light on how sammy newman was just given the PLCA hendenson shield captaincy? after turning his back on the PLCA, how can they just hand him the captaincy and lets be honest he would be borderline at best to be in the top 12 players in the comp! they make it look as though he is some new gun to town!

Sammy must be in the side for his leadership skills  . He couldnt make a run or get a wicket up here.

Congrats to the Panther on his appointment as A grade coach for the Boston Tigers next season. Knows and loves his local footy very well and will be huge asset to the Tigers.

ML lost total faith in this group and could see no light at the end of the tunnel. The big question is how is Troy Smith going to get them up when Leslie couldn't?

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

For the BFC to appoint TS as coach this early is crazy. What if other options open up over the next 2-3 months? as for Ramsey, whats the saying about the chook raffle?
