Interesting to see if Kangies go up to central division next year. They have a history of staying down and dominating.....big fish in a little pond syndrome.

these are my tips for next week

A grade: Lofty by 12 points reckon they are just too fit for the cabbage would think Uraidla would need to be up by 5 goal by three qtr time to win. i really cant wait to see these two teams play again especially after seeing there last two encounters

B grade: Lofty by 4 goals couldnt possibly lose with the likes of sam broadbridge playing even if they dont they still have coatsy madsen and Ogorman

U17s: Blackwood by 4 goals got a lot of mature kids in that team, although they do have a lot of players to choose from. dont think the lofty 17s would really mind being the underdogs though seeing as tho they havent been tipped at all these finals should be a close game

U14s: Mt barker by 5 goals dont know much about these two teams except mt barker have a really good young player called Tom Hughes and ironbank have adam shearwood and michael pope. should be a good game

ORDB, bookie, robbie - are any of you involved, or used to be, with the Brookers? No issues, just wondering.

The brawl did not involve Kangys OR Kersbrook supporters.

I was 20m away from all this rubbish. Started as a 'verbal' between the Meadows & Birdwood 18's lads plus some TV boys who were (equally) charged with UDL cans....two young 'ladies', and I use that term very loosely, decided they should box on and then everyone was in it. Oval officials stepped in and got everyone over the fence and things calmed down for about 3 minutes before erupting again with an all-in punchup which spilled over into the field of play which is when the game stopped. An older 'lady' (short, plumpish. with short peroxide blonde hair) was in there swinging with the best of them and a stocky guy in his 50's who looked like a balding Father Christmas was knocking blokes over left right and centre. Saw at least 4 blokes get king hit. Absolutely disgracefull performance by all involved. The police arrived fashionably late when it was all over and most of the protagonists had dispersed.
There were large groups of Kangys and Kersbrook supporters either side of all this and neither group moved to join in.
There were grog inspections earlier in the day when most spectators were enjoying a nice cup of tea and a buttered scone so that was worthwhile, not.

As for the game, Kersbrook looked like a side that had had several hard games and were tired. A great performance to even get there. Kangarilla looked fresh and fit....a great result from them after getting regularly pounded in the SFL for the last few seasons. I saw them a few weeks ago against Meadows and they were a shadow of the side that played saturday so it would be questionable as to how they'd go if they were elevated to Central - my guess is they'd struggle.

vv, thanks for the detailed description of the events. credit to the kersbrook and kangy supporters for not getting involved. with kangy winning the flag, probably goes to show the strength of the southern league. they were barely middle of the road in that comp.

Woo hoo hoo! GF week at last!
Got to be pumped for a massive w/e coming up. Urididla v Lofty in 2 grades should be interesting. Lofty with 3 teams in the GF as well.
Good to hear the biff came out in the Country division. Stopping the game is a good effort, especially since there were probably more kicks in the fight than those gained by the Kersbrook lads on the ground!
Is the El Presidente of the Hills League going to get smashed as a result of the B-Grade finals debacle? I think not. He is omnipotent so watch out all you haters or else he will strike you down with fire from the sky......Just look what he did to Blackwood!

Bring back the Biff!!! Fair to say, that I'm happy to have a bit of a box if the occasion warrants it, but there's not way I'd mess with Nash Starks psycotic mother! That woman should strike the fear of God into anyone. The world would be a better place with her locked in a padded room in Glenside!! That woman is a nutter!

Go you Devils - the boys stuck it to those tools from Ironbank who graffitied our club. 3 teams in the GF! I just hope that nobody tips any of our teams ... AGAIN!!!

And to the idiot parent from Ironbank who sat on the hill and abused the crap out of our players with some language that not even I would use........your team got what was coming to them! The better team won on the day, and it's great to see peanuts like you get beaten. Nobody likes an ugly parent. I'd put this clown in a category close to Nash Starks old lady! Loser!

Man, crazy times in the Country GF!
What a joke of a scoreline though, shame that. Like a few have sid already, Kersbrook sounded a bit spent by doing it the hard way.
Would that be the biggest GF win in Country GF's?
And Central...Uris Lofty in the 2 big ones. What a day. Well done to the Devs 17's, a real test coming up though.
Any reports from the Uri Onkas game? Injuries that is...

No apparent injuries to report, however Matt Thomas looked hampered with a leg problem, possibly hamy? Hopefully the Uri boys celebrated their win hard with plenty of Amber Ale after the game!!

Onka's had their chances and dominated periods of the play, but seriously lacked a solid scoring avenue. Just like 2 weeks ago, they had their chances, but missed vital shots, which put them too far behind Uris by the final break. Uri looked solid when carrying the ball, and were far better organised going forward.

Ben Gordon to be dropped for Senior Colts spearhead Brett Pistola!!!

Ronnieboy there are plenty of possibilites, I could talk all day about how Uri could drop this and that player, but at the end of the day it's all just banter that will be good for nothing other than filling in the painfully slow seconds between now and Saturday.

My tip is for 2 unchanged A grade sides from both clubs.

On Uri's B grade, where was no. 29 Sam (someone) on Saturday? Was he playing (didn't see him)? Surely he wasn't left out of the Uri side? And is Marc 'Cement' Richards injured? Why was he running drinks?

Kangarilla's 32-19 (211) is the highest ever score recorded in a country SA grand final, the previous highest was in 1985 when Broughton Mundoora (Northern Areas FL) scored 30-19 (199).

Kangarilla's winning margin of 159 pts. is also the greatest ever winning margin, eclipsing Perponda's 154 pt. winning margin against Sedan Cambrai (Mid Murray FL) in 1994.

Jeez Supavet I hope you got that out of a book cause otherwise you need to get out a bit more champ!

Rumour mill for GF.
Matt Thomas tagging Adam Trzensicki tagging the umpires. Should make for interesting centre bounces!
Also Racer Medhta has a fitness test by racing against Makybe Diva on Thursday.
Pucker Richards has sparred with Danny Green to improve on his punching on Ben Gordon.

And RonBurgundy, you sound like you're trapped in a glass case of emotion.

Yeh some bloody good young players in these 2 teams. Know its early but should get along to watch this game. Future stars in there! Shearwood gets BOG every game he plays for ironbank pretty much but he will be away for state basketball so makes it tough for Ironbank. Taltented lad by sounds of things.
