Richard Chee Quee wrote:well done to LF on his 150th today. surely the boys get the job done and get the points for the big fella. today is another test for the bays and will show where we are at. when we last made the GF in 2005 i think we lost to yank other there and they finished in the bottom two that year. they are always hard to beat over there. so after nearly rolling victor last game it will be another good yard stick as to see how competitive we will be this year as yank should be around the finals mark again

Bays should be three zip...had every chance to win today 7 points down over 5 minutes to play...

Mate we expect to get belted each week ,but we are not spending as much as Goolwa must be, as they have recuited very well and to be 0 3 is not the start that they would have been looking for.
ALSO luvayarn i overheard 2 Goolwa players at the hotel victor last night saying that the coach does not even turn up tuesday nights . I may be wrong but to me the cracks are starting to appear.

Mate no he does not come down tuesday nights and he did make that statement himself upon his interview that he would take only thursday down here,so unless you have correct information as i previously said worry about Callington because it will not be long and you will not have a club.
I was in Callington Tuesday night and there was no activity at all from there,so the sooner that mob are made shut up shop the better, then you can start to have an input on other clubs problems.
Go away and crawl under the cow pat you just crawled out from.

i noticed there was a couple of cameras at the willunga mclaren game, no doubt they would have captured that mark by greenbank on top of big matty thomas. that would have to be one of the biggest hangers i have ever seen, look out for almost footy legends :)

Scoreboard was wrong - 20-13 to 8-8.

Close game to half time with Compass leading by 7 points after the umpires helped turn 1 point into 2 goals for Compass. It did seem like Victor just had the upper hand but the game was looking for one team to burst it wide open. After the break it seemed everything Compass touched turned to gold, making Victor look ordinary in every way. It was a slowish start to the season for Victor with a 2 point loss to the reigning premier and then a 2 point win against the bays, but some of the headlines in yesterdays paper about Port could have been written about Victor - not even scoring a major in the second half.

So we move on to play Myponga looking to turn the corner and build some momentum.

Thanks for the well wishes on the 150th. Played a solid 8 minutes and lost which wasnt ideal. Question: With the rushed behind rule (which we got gifted on the weekend), does the point count and where is the free kick from?

Ok we got the free in the right spot then but didnt get awarded the point. Could have added some controversy to the game if we had kicked another then?

It was terrible. Wasn't the only bad one, what about that Goolwa goal umpires shocker LF at the Club end.....
Congrats on the 150 bigfella. I'll get you a beer at Pongy later in the year.

Had a chat to him about that one. The pongy bloke on the line using the old celebrate to con the goal umpire trick didn't quite work on that occasion.

As far as I know all West Coast and EP leagues do not bother with this rule as it is seen as as an AFL rule designed to remedy an AFL problem.

Surely Yank would have to be new favourites for the flag with their newest gun signing, Scott Borlace
