G'day all. Not sure if any of you are aware but there is an iPhone app for sporting pulse. Search the App Store for mysport (one word) and you can get all the results from most codes in Australia once the scores have been entered at the end of the day. Good luck to all clubs for the year and lets have a rad 2011 comp.
PS - Only good if you have an iPhone!

Tigers by 45 pts over McLarens. Good Skills by the Tigers in spite of the windy conditions.

Well done by bays. The trial game result made me think perhaps they were going to do better than we had been thinking.

Strath/Victor game certainly wasnt one for the archives. Breeze was strong in the first (across the ground but favouring Strath) and wasted opportunities saw the score at 1-6 to 0-1. Breeze dropped somewhat after quarter time and the second and third terms saw the ball travel back and forth with both backlines on top. Strath were still making the best of it though with plenty of the run they have shown in recent years. Strath were definately on top in the centre and around stopages - with some better goal kicking the game could have been beyond Victor despite the excellent efforts of Brown and Parker in the backlines. Victor seemed to get some ascendancy back in the last part of the 3rd with Strath leading 5-15 to 4-7 at the final change. With the door left ajar, Victor made most of the running in the last and the game suddenly got interesting when they managed to put 2 majors on the board and then the goal post getting in the way of what would have been a steal. Strath 5-19 (49), Victor 6-11 (47). No conditions were not that bad really!

Kickittome
Your tips were around the mark NOT

My tips:
Strath by 6points
Myponga by 72 points (Enc Bay wooden spooners?)
Willunga by 23 points (Lost some veterans but plenty of depth can still cover for, compass will be stronger this year with burdett back should sneak into the 5)
Creek by 90 pts (goolwa's new recruits will get a big wake up call v creek who should be team to beat early in year ben warren to kick a hundred easily!)
Mclaren by 17pts (Mclaren recruited a few apparantly, yank lost some big guns from last year)
Maybe

There hasn't been much said about the Encounter Bay / Myponga match on the weekend. Many of us (myself included) didn't give the Bays much hope during the preseason but they must've done alright on Saturday. Where was it won and lost?? Enc Bay didn't pick up many in the off season so I assume that they had some young locals step up.

Limb IMO i think we won it through the mid field and down back. couple of classy inclusions in tyson davis and eli horrocks through the middle to help out jacob baggs and co. meant we just used it a bit better going into the forward line, were able to spot up a few more targets than pongy. also seemed to use the attacking side of the ground alot more when coming with the wind which made scoring easier. i dont think anyone i the back line lost the position which meant alot of the pongy attacks were repelled straight back out again, which made scoring harder for them.

i think they kicked 4 of their 8 in about a 6 or 7 minute period in the last quarter so for the rest of the game the mid field and backlines were well on top

Thanks for that RCQ - certainly puts a bit more interest into the local derby under lights this week now. The Victor midfield will be on notice after a pretty ordinary preformance last week I would think.

I'm sure pongy wouldn't have been expecting to lose - any thoughts from the other side WOW?

Another new local (teacher apparently) walked into the club last week looking for a game Johny. Obviously did his homework ;)
Was BOG in the B's in his first game and looks likely to grab a spot in the A's against Bays this week! Now if we could only get the Banker and Policeman on the ground!
