Who is the former mail medalist almost certainly returning to Cherry gardens ? At 30 years would be a great pick up. Also believe they have been busy with another ruckman keen to get back invoved - all no pointers they say. Seems like since the new committee on board people returning. Good for the Thunderers and great news if true.

Wow Ironbank have been busy, but surely the other clubs are recruiting players and having players return, where are these people talking up their clubs?

And do we have names for these possible recruits/returning players?

That would be Rusty and is a great bloke, but FFS, last thing we need is club people pumping our tyres early. No-one is confirmed until you see them on the track. And like me the poor bloke's the wrong side of 30 ;o)

Lebron believe there may be an attempt from a certain board to try to push SCIBS down to country. Little bird told me they owe the HFL money but not as much as other central clubs. If not paid by a certain date - sia nara. No vote , no programming in central. Be a way for the board to let birdwood remain. Also trying to use the oval as an excuse. Interesting times over the next 2 months  .

Why would you post that crap 'has been'? Surely your best work is done with your mouth shut. Perhaps keep it that way, you do more damage than good for the Thunderers. Perhaps go choose another club to support in the HFL, we don't need your types. Everything you write is hearsay and comes third hand and is completely incorrect. Please don't post again on behalf of Ironbank. I'm done.

AF about time the club had some expectation put on it. Positive expectation that is. Nothing wrong at all putting it out there that the club no longer accepts being 8th, 9th or 10th. As for ATS he has no idea who HB is and as a founding member and supporter the HB like the rest of us is sick of the club being 8th, 9th and 10th. Maybe it is ATS who needs to be positive like the rest of us now getting involved and putting our money where our mouths are because we actually believe in positive things and expectation. HB is nearly always on the money. Just look at his posts. Better still just be positive like the rest of us and be greatful we have a great game in the hills.

Supercoach I don't question your passion and success for the Ironbank FC and I am as positive as anyone else but for 'has been' to discuss so called 'debts' whether they be true or false on an internet forum is completely ridiculous. I have a large debt called a mortgage and I'm certainly not going to post the details of that on the internet. Do you understand what I'm saying? Think before you post... and I know for a fact all of what 'has been' has discussed is untrue. The so called debt is a monthly bill every club gets and has or is about to be paid. The talk of being relegated for this is next to laughable and comes from over reacting individuals. Perhaps a little less anger towards the HFL itself should be considered. Have you tried running a league with two divisions and 20 clubs? It can't be easy and I reckon Owen and Sam do a pretty decent job given the amount of criticism they cop. Time to lay off and concentrate on what really matters... "Football".

I tend to agree. The HFL board don't do a bad job and love him or hate him I reckon Owen has Hills football at heart. Naturally it is easy to be a critic and sit back and do nothing. And so without being critical I'm still trying to get my head around Birdwood going down from Central Division and having more points than the top couple of Country Division teams while Torrens Valley come up a Division and have less points than the bottom teams. I understand the concept but surely coming up and going down a Division should be taken into account.

Well it makes sense really, the HFL obviously figures that Birdwood is not the best team in Country despite playing in Central last year so thus they get more points than the top couple and they obviously believe Torrens Valley will be better than the bottom couple of clubs and thus get less points than them. I think the HFL have given good consideration to the movement betweeen the divs, the question I find interesting is if promotion/relegation happens again, will they be consistent with their approach next time and do the same thing or just apply what they believe is common sense at the time?

Is the next club that gets relegated going to be on seniors' performance and leave the kids out of it?

Just had a phone call and huge recruit to Onkas signed today. This guy will have a massive impact on the competition. My source tells me we are also talking to two more guns. We will all be looking forward to the progression of this young list of players and the continued support of the classy veterans at Onkas. :D :D :D

Back to Cove??
he misses doing the homage...

From what I heard he threatened to leave mid-season and head back to Cove. So that is a real
possibility.

He has family connections at Cove, plus Ando is no longer there. Fairly sure he'll be back at Cove next year.

Considering Padroth was doing weights at the Blackwood Football Club tonight (at a casual running and skills session), I wouldn't be so sure he would be on the move.
