lol FOD - My sons don't play at McLaren anymore - so I have no idea anything going on there.
My eldest son is playing at Mt Compass - but I am merely a spectator.
So really my football involvements are minimal these days.

I would however like to wish all safooty members who are involved in the GSFL a good season - whether playing or supporting O:)

I'm in the same boat actually, my family connections to the Creek are no longer, so I'm not privy to the inner workings anymore unfortunately.

Got a couple of mates out playing still though so will hopefully get down and catch a couple of games still this season. I think it's shaping up to be a good one for the Hawks. :D

I think we are still all here FOD but I get the feeling that everyone is playing secret squirrels. Its a massive year off field with inclusions and departures but the quietest on the forum. No one wants to be the big news breaker because I think we have got to the point where we all know who the other posters are. Maybe we should all start fresh accounts with fresh user names?

Tips for this week

Strath 5 points
Myponga 15 points
Compass 10 points
Yank 20 points

Sorry field of dreams haven't got too much to say we only have had one trial been a bit low key at the moment. Even though we are a little short on players will definately still put up a very handy a grade team v victor should be another close game as usual early in the year down there.

My tips:
Strath by 6points
Myponga by 72 points (Enc Bay wooden spooners?)
Willunga by 23 points (Lost some veterans but plenty of depth can still cover for, compass will be stronger this year with burdett back should sneak into the 5)
Creek by 90 pts (goolwa's new recruits will get a big wake up call v creek who should be team to beat early in year ben warren to kick a hundred easily!)
Mclaren by 17pts (Mclaren recruited a few apparantly, yank lost some big guns from last year)

give me Creeks' trial match results including best players and goal kickers as well as a rough indication on their starting lineup and I will give you an educated tip.

Lol - maybe. Maybe everyone knows who I am but I only know who you, BJ and chesty are. I dont care if people do know though really - I have a reasonably close affiliation with my club and have fairly close ties to those 'in the know'. Sure one has to be a little careful not to step on toes or bag people, but with the clearances readily available surely sharing info about how new players are shaping up, how trials went etc doesnt make you a traitor.

LF the way you conduct yourself here is spot-on. You share info, are loyal to your club, dont bag players from your own side or the opposition. If we were all to do the same how can we go wrong - Most of us are here cos we love our local sides and want to know what is going on with other sides and the league in general.

Anyway - bring on round one!

Sorry to stick my nose in there...lol... but this is very true - it's called acting in a 'professional' nature/manner.

When you finish 2 and 16 the previous year, you cant really go out on a limb and get stuck in to people. It tends to come back and bite you

Yeah Johnny has pulled the pin on us round one unfortunatly, as he was in good shape and was looking like being a key member of the A grade team, unfrotuantly however money talks. He will cop it around the traps for this and get a bit of stick from his mates for pulling the pin this close to the season which is disapointing, but at the end of the day if he wants money and wants to play where he is happy you cant stop him or blame him for leaving. His antics will be missed at the bay.

So do you know where he is playing? Is he going back to Kaniva?

Kitittome & Jackpot Jim
Your predictions on Langhorne Creeks winning margin
One- How much money you got !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two- Very hard to win with those margins with 18 Black & Whites in LCreeks forward line

151 - i think they are on the money, it wont matter how many black and whites are in the back 50 Dugga Bale will be slotting them from 60 anyway, and as he showed last year "wee man" Locchie mcgregor will sit on anyones head to get a kick.
