it's an interesting one. ramblers are certainly in better nick then last year and i don't believe tumby are as good, so that should tell you it will be alot closer then last year. alot of it comes down to prime because they will get it down there enough for him to kick 10. on the other side i think tumby's defence can be put under pressure if pedler, jim holman and bunger fitz all spend time up there together, it will then really be upto spider minhard and scotty blacker to get it there for them.
tumby should be win by 5 to 8 goals on paper but ramblers in finals is another story. tumby need to stop scotty blacker at the stopages and ramblers need to stop prime, simple!!!
cougers to win colts and Bs

Ramblers are coming good and I know that Horgs is not sleeping to well

Well done to JAMESY for his photo in the paper. More footy trip money

Ramblers might be competative til half time but then the cream rises to the top. Tumby by 65 points.

Bloody hell cu..I would have thought a person in your position would know that it had nothing to do with Tiller. Revolved around a young under 17 player, who had only played one game of ressies before. (Last game against Waybacks) Rules are a bit ambiguous and there is a Special General Meeting to deal with this section of the By Laws (#22) this Saturday at 9am.
The bottom line is that the Reserves is the hardest grade to qualify for, and the main criteria is that the player must have played 4 games in THAT grade to qualify. (You got that bit right cu)If he was an A grade player, then other factors also come into play. Effectively stops teams from stacking their ressies with their better under 17's if they have finished.
As for Tiller he had a permit granted by the PLFL.

I thought the by law was to be re-written last year after the MR/T Reserves GF debacle. Would have avoided another silly situation if it was.

Wouldn't you think a football operations manager or team manager should know the rules? maybe even a coach?

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Reports are, that the player in question is a recent Mail Medal winner. VERY recent!

The last time there were rumours of Parks missing a final due to a hammy was leading into the 2006 GF. He played, and won the Mick Hegarty medal. Interesting tactic to wheel out these rumours at finals time in an attempt to perhaps distract the attention of the opposition.
By the way, a very much deserved mail medallist which is just reward for 3 very good years of footy since he arrived in town.

We treat injury rumours from Planet Wangary with a high degree of suspicion. If you believe the stories coming from there this week, they will struggle to fill one side let alone two, and expect lumpy page and panic to line up across half back in the seniors...
Have selected a side expecting him to play, and will only think differently after we get the team sheet. If he is out then we only have to worry about Francis, Semmler, Sarge, Doudle, Brooks, Levi, Tokas, Charman....
:(
Even on one leg he would be a handful at half forward.

Very good and clean player who has been Rangers most consistent player over the past 6 weeks. Went into the centre after half time against the Rooters and helped swing the game. Needs to be watched.

I would be more worried about my own backyard. Most of the players you will be watching are not match winners just good honest footballers.
Are you concentrating to much on the opposition maybe?

Why wouldnt you be worried? MR are a very good team and have won the last 2 premierships remember. Not saying that Waybacks cant knock them off but finals experience counts.

I think it is fair to say that both sides sjould have ample 'finals' experience given they have shared the last 5 premierships...but we are a young side and it is very hard to go past the experienced rangers line up.
