Believe Silky around the mark in relation to the devs in turmoil. Spoke to chief sitting bull from the lofty heights during the week and he said good riddance as far as he is concerned. Could be upto 8 to go for various reasons. May be a couple going over the hill I hear.

its bloody great though, lofty back to where they belong-positions 9/8/7th

Sinking ship was a big call for a team that finished 3rd last year.. But it is now defiantly a sinking ship.

3rd place finish, sinking ship? You knob. jealousy mate. Your maggies have hardly been the yardstick of consistency. Hosting the big day was the closest your seniors got to finals
Some others may come up the hill if one of those outs is correct, apparently there was some friction in the past.
I heard DK might leave footy full stop due to back injuries anyway.

i would rather be in hahndorfs pozish, as everyone is jumping off the devils like its going out of fashion, playing for the devils was all the rage in 2004-2008 but now blokes have come to and realise the ship is going down to swim in VAUGHANS infamous "lost city of atlantis"
back down the bottom where they belong...

Again, SS, I'll take the bait & play the game.
If guys like you & Jugs write off teams at the drop of the hat, 6 months out from a ball being kicked, I'd rather NOT be involved at your club/s with that sort of attitude. Your junior wins are definitely a great thing, but look how your A grade sank last year (after a promising previous season), with not that many departures. So where are your wins gonna come from next year? Your b grade was WAY way off the mark as well.
I'll be honest, it's bloody difficult to dismiss any team, or talk any team up as the ins & outs on here have been pretty shady so far. When people leave, it opens up opportunities. Next season it could be returns like Temme, Cutting, Trigger, White...would it be sinking then?

Have Bridgewater appointed a coach yet? We're probably only 6 weeks away before some clubs start pre-season and you'd think most clubs would have their coaches sorted.
And how bout new recruits? Surely Ironbank aren't the only ones to pick up some new players. Also we've been hearing this topic of Lofty losing players etc for the past couple of seasons, I'll believe it when I see it.

im not a lofty fan, but i would have thought that with the recent success of their B grade, surely numbers will be made up to cover their A grade losses.
Im not saying that these players coming into A grade are as good as the ones leaving, but surely they couldnt be too bad.
In my opinion, never right off any team 6 months away from the start of the season.
There is alot of recruiting still to be done, and with massive names leaving, surely will leave the devils with some cash to spend on replacements, if needed.

Spot on, bull. The B grade definitely has some lads that could step up but the key will be some bigger bodies and targets around them. Losing Neilsen, Temme, Bawden in one hit at the end of 2009 didn't help, but you move on.
It does open up some possibilities but apparently some would-be recruits didn't sign up last year because they didn't get the most convivial greeting...

Those whispers are getting louder at Devil Land. Wood Retiring? Mehta moving interstate? Sounds like Lofty's B grade team WILL be it's A grade next year!

The new points system makes it hard to recruit many players in one hit. Should Lofty or any other club lose several players it is not possible to replace them unless you have returning former juniors who don't cost points. If a team has lost half a dozen key players it is almost safe to say now that they cannot be replaced before season starts due to points.

yeah its no worries that lofty will fill there team with B graders, but they werent making there A grade for a reason aka not in there best team!!!! therefore quality of on field personel will be low low low low lowwwww....

i wouldnt have thought the blokes leaving would have been getting paid alot, there local boys would be playing for to win flags not cold hard cash, and if the former mt barker player come lofty player is getting paid ill dead set spew up!

lofty need a cheque book bigger than donald trumps bank account to be any chance of giving anything towards the cause next year!

another rumour to add to the off season rumour mill is that a young up and coming forward at the devils whose father does a bit of writing for the local paper may be considering a tiny little offer from a couple clubs who have been inquiring of his services... watch this space

have also heard tht a few raider boys r looking for greener pastures where even just a scerick of success is going to be had!

Is it just me or a few blokes in Hills Central trying to bump their payments up at the moment?

Never heard more rumours in my life

Agreed. So many Gary Ablett's running around with no loyalty just trying to see who will give them the biggest pay cheque. Doesn't anybody want to play with their mates anymore?
