15. Oh were from Tigerland!

I have to congratulate the PLFL for the second week in a row only putting in the junior results in the Sunday Mail. How hard is it to put the A grade as well. Pathetic [-X

Well I read it Skipper. You must have hit the slops Sat night ??

Haven't worked out the % but would suggest Tassies would be about 5 % in front of Bostons plus a game and it would take a pretty big win by the tigers and a large loss by Tasmans to see their positions reversed.

The season has certainly lived up to it's early promise in regards to the make up of the 4.

Tessman and Moony back for 2nd semi. Joel should handle that cos he's fit but the lack of match practice for Moony may hinder his form in the finals.

So I'll cop that... some fairly fanciful thinking...
Steigs... What did you think about Jason O'Brien...?
I'm thinking either pathetic or disgraceful?

I saw the kicking in danger and it was a very obvious for all to see and his actions after that were both of your adjectives plus it could have been very costly cos not only did the 100m gift Bostons a goal but it stopped our momentum at the time and when you went into attack again immediatley after, you could have scored another which would have made the difference only about 2 goals. Coach was not happy (as wasn't everytbody) and made a point of it at 3/4 time huddle saying to the players "Don't do a Jason, just get out there and play footy"

4% is the official difference. If Tasmans lost by 10 goals this week(likely) Bostons would have to win by 20 goals (possible - given opposition).
The word is that MP had 13 players out and played 16 kids on saturday and given the scoreline that sounds about right.
O'Brien has been pretty tame in recent seasons looking like he doesnt care, but has always been suseptable to a brain snap.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Anyone remember a Corey Webb that played on EP as a junior?
He's over in the Riverland now, just wondering what anyone's thoughts are on him and his playing past?

One thing for sure is that if it was held at Pips the after match drinks would be a roaring show. Many a good one held out there over the years.

As far as night match is concerned, the rumour I heard was for it to be on Friday night with the A grade only.
For starters it will be brass monkeys out there but more significantly is that it would fracture the round with the juniors and B's playing on a different day which does not make for a good environment for the club's concerned in terms of a family day (or night)
Also if it is only for the A's or even A's and B's, what abpout the juniors. They still need a venue. So may as well group the whole lot together and play it at Mallee Park on Satdy.

There's not a lot I can add, except that I can sometimes be a tool.
You'd almost say our Ressies are a better chance than our A's to get in the finals.
