McGregor could get big $ closer to town. If this is true their must be employment for him close to Port Augusta that makes the Purple and Whites attractive. Hardly a player to worry about IMO lucky to play for the crows as long as he did. I think they kept him on to try and convince others that picking him above Pavlich was a good call NOT

I know its your opinion but get of the grass and ex-afl footballer in a country league he would dominate up here, in your opinion who would you get to stand him? Just out of interest.

I wont argue against the point he has ability above most in the SGL but i don't think its all about the individual. AFL football and Country football are completely different in the way they are played. He would definitely bring something to any team below AFL level but i didn't see him as a dominating player just one who did his job. I would prefer to take the view that there are many players playing in the Country capable of playing in the AFL but for various reasons have not given it a go. Once again only my opinion.

Out of interest and presuming he played at CHF i would try

Ports - Luteria, Mudge, Stephens
South - J.Collins, Brushy, Robinson
Centrals - Harris, Rathman, Fuller
Sollies - Davies,
Lions - Edwards

Are the rumours right about J Rivers, T Payne & A Margitich playing for Souths right? If so, will be 3 very handy ins for the Club.

do you guys seriously believe that ken mcgregor would play in the SGL, with absolutely no ties whatsoever to this region.
i think "feltus is a legend" is speaking about as much truth as his name..

Mate tells me there is an add in the local rag with Centrals lookin for u18's players.

would this be a wake up call for the club and bring to their attention that not lookin after or promoting their OWN kids could be the cause of this?

who was the last kid they produced who played colts right through the grades to the league team?

Baker is the only one i can think of.

Currently in the A grade -Rathman,Harvey and Watts would have come all the way through and Boles probably since under11s or 13s as well.

Certainly can't blame a lack of u18s entirely on not promoting youth in past seasons but it would play some part, a culture of bringing in young players can't be manufactured and south and west have done pretty well in this area for the last decade or so. Have heard a story that central have asked whether some of the surplus players from other clubs could be sent over to them, and fair play to the young lads who want a game every week..but i would tell them to get nicked personally

You mean Nick Collins and Reece Dadleh. Just bumping price up I think and BMW was who I hears for Nick

Both are confirmed starters at West next year, with Nick Collins staying at West and being Blimmys love child does that mean Blimmy is still involved at Westies?

He played about 8 games for Encounter Bay in the GSFL season just been, could only play when not aligned to his coaching gig at Glenelg. Pretty sure he is going around again at the bay under former Glenelg gun 'Billy Neely'. So thats where the blue shorts come into it.

South $3 If they are getting recruits and others back from injury could be good
Port $3.50 Squids getting cockyness back again
West $4.00 I heard will actually get more players than they lose.
Central $4.00 Honymoon over?
Solly $5.50 Kids are coming on but Price has gone and Edey/ Parker too? Touch and go to make finals
Lions $8 Another year away from getting off the bottom.
