What "STAR" players are they/have recruited ?

You're kidding yourself O.F. to suggest money doesn't buy premierships.
EVERY premiership thats been won in the last few decades have cost clubs $$$$
Agree that it takes more than money to win one but would be impossible to win a flag these days without spending anything.

Might just be worth remembering O.F. b4 bagging your neighboring rival club that the Creeks have won MORE 'A' grade premierships than Strath in the last decade.
Willunga 6
L. Creek 2
McClaren 1
Strath 1

Im just saying JJ that the Creek have payed out some good coin to a few ex-sanfl players of recent seasons for not much in return.

Langhorne Creek, thought it was common knowledge.

Probably is. Just wondering as there's always quite a bit of speculation, and i wasn't sure if it had been confirmed.

Is Nick Warren coming home home as well? Heard a rumour that he was going for a job out Murray Bridge way so that he could play back at the Creek.

I've got NFI what money they've paid for who BUT whilst winning Premierships is obviously the main aim of the players, i think the club has been extremely successful in all other areas in which the imported players have all contributed greatly, so in saying that, i think the club has had a very good return on any investments they have made, just not a Premiership but they're not alone there and being perrennial finalists i suppose is the next best thing.

Can anyone give me some news on the Love lads that payed at Encounter Bay? Herd on the grapvine that they have signed with Tailem in the RMFL. link with the assistant coach i believe.

Owen Love is a gun, saw him turn a game off his on boot once, i think he came 2nd or 3rd in the mail medal a few years back as well. Ray Love is no slouch either, no nonsense backman that didn't take a backward step from memory.

Are they key position players or better suited to a flank or pocket?

Owen can play back or forward flank and change through the midfield, from memory Ray is a good enough size to play full or centre half back.

Played for the Murray Bushrangers the same year as Steele Sidebottom and did a preseason with the Pies. Didnt get picked up but played as a top up player for the Pies in the VFL. played in Queensland last year.

Never saw Ray get a kick. Owen was a good player but no gun. Did kick 5 in a game against the Rmfl. Would be better at H/Back than CHB.

Dont know how many games you seen but Owen is a gun won b&f at Encounter Bay & missed out on the mail medal by a couple of points.

The banker is very quick on his feet and pretty good skills, might be the line breaking wingman victor's been lacking. Haven't seen the policeman yet.

Depends what each individuals opinion of a gun player is i guess. As i said i thought he was a good player, who had a good season. Gun = Top 20 in the Gsfl. Not quite there, especially when Willunga had 10 players before him. Only an opinion.

What was wrong with any of the last 4 Grand Final venues?
