Just read the U16 championships results and see that Scott Lycett and Sam Gray were in the best players and goalkicking lists in both SA's matches this week against Vic Metro and Vic Country.
Congrats to the lads and they beat Vic Metro by a point - Sweet

I hope everyone gets behind the recent letter sent out by the PLR&R Assoc in regards to the upgrade of Centenary.
All you footballers have some great history at the ground and putting in $200 or $500 for those who are a bit better off seems like a good idea.
Now is the time to make a pledge. the money does not have to be paid yet. Get behind it and show that you care about the place. (or we could all end up at ravendale).
Contact Kaylene, Glyn or Jim if you want Centenary to survive 86824769.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

Sam Gray, what a talented young footballer.
Quick on his feet, elusive, slick skills, one to watch, shouldn't be on EP for much longer.

Ohh were from Tigerland!!!

The killer bees have lost thier invincibility and will now have to be reffered to as the wussie wasps.
Our first term of the b grade was as good as I have ever seen us play and credit must go to the boys for sticking together. Can we still make the finals CMH? CMH was catching a cold at full back as was MP on the pine  . I thought young Tapp in the ruck was great against a so called A grade footballer. Chook good playing a kick behind the play and I thought it was a good move to have Adie further up the ground. Dunny played well. I cant beleive the Tasman coach left Atkins on Robbie H for so long  .
Number 20 stood Adie at CHB and was shown a football lesson, speak like Tarzan RR but play like Jane.
The A grade was dissapointing but I do have one thing to say about Kilsby. he is a complete fool and an embarrasment to his club. I even went to the coaches box and told the runner Beeby and the Tasman wasps what I thought after he was sent off.

RR can you please advise when the funeral of the Killer Bees is so we can all pay our respects. :Hangman:

I'll presume Tasmans A's got up over Bostons? Some suprises round the traps it seems. Waybacks dft MP, T dft B, keeps it interesting. Marble Range played pretty well today. Semmler was out? didn't need him though. Parker, Toka's and the Brooks lads were solid all day. Jericho was the stand out all day for us, Wake and Nagel were good too. The young eagles were inspirational today, showed us older blokes up good and proper. Not much is posted on here about the junior grades, but from our point of view its very promising.

I thought the guy with the slick backed hair was Dunny. Maybe they were calling him Donny? Yes it was number 5, he had a lot of inside 50's. My eye sight is not as good as it was

I also thought Marty didnt coach the best. Why was Brett and Miller left up forward for so long. Why was Danilo put on James? and why was Vonow allowed so much freedom. Our midfield was very dissapointing, we would have lost by 20 goals if we were playing a decent side. our third term cost us.

I usually stay out of football antics like this but this is making my blood boil.
You can do nothing but laugh at comments like this coming from bostons b grade players. they have beaten the top side and listen to them roar! we havent heard from them in 10 years. the coach would have to be asking himself where this passion has been on the field or is it just restricted to the internet where no body can harm them?
T07 if you did approach the coaches box after the send off of a player you should have a good look at yourself and the example you are setting. Imagine if everyone thought it was their right to approach the coaches box after a player send off - it would be mayhem.
RR you are most welcome back at hockey to enjoy a sport that is played with pride, passion and respect. I invite anyone to come over and see how true sportsmen play sport and are gracious when winning and in defeat.
I support the TFC as they are involved with us but I am in no way biased.

skipper46 if this is making your blood boil, you havent been reading how rr has been carrying on. If he hadnt said a word these boys wouldnt have said much at all.
If he is going to continue to go on about how good the killer bees are, every time they lose someone is going to have a good say back.

There you go Skipper.
If CMH and I came out saying we were going to make our opposition "look like crap," and they then beat us, we would, deservedly, cop it, both on this site, and on the field.
So RR... :D

Not being blessed with extraordinary talent, I take the little thing in sport seriously. That's why I was pleased to find out that I'd played my fiftieth senior game for Bostons earlier this year, however, I just got a phone call that has shown me a far more important statistic.

Boston Under 13 Coach Luke Schrapel, in two weeks time versus Marble Range, will coach his 200th game of junior football. He's an absolute champion and unsung hero of the Boston Football Club, coaching the juniors for more than a decade. I found him quite inspirational a couple of years ago, when he coached consecutive grades, then the Under 10's and Under 12's, because there was no-one else willing to do the job.
Added to that, his skill as a coach has been unquestionable, coaching Lincoln Districts sides in both Under 13's and Under 15's.
As a tireless worker around the club, he's been on virtually every committee, a League delegate, and, until this season, Reserves team manager, a post he often filled whilst also being a B Grade player.

Congratulations on the approaching milestone Schraps, and hopefully Life membership will be just around the corner.
