5 dot points as requested that should draw a suitabley qualified mentor out to THE FORTRESS.
hopefully these points blow your skid mark filled jocks clean off your putrid ass...

1 - Low expectations from a club, community and competition use to seeing Bridgewater fail. The club is so fixed in a losing mentality the coach has the challenge and prospect of building his own successful winning culture from the ground up. Something any budding coach would thrive on.
2 - A young and hungry senior playing group with a lot of potential, who have proven they have the ability to beat sides that are competing in the finals this year.
3 - A relaxed, friendly and laid back country atmosphere not far from the city.
4 - A senior coaching position in a strong and respected competition like the HFL is a big carrot for former AFL and SANFL players, as we have seen in the past with success from the likes of James (Kersbrook), Page (Blackwood) and more recently Sutherland (Uraidla).
5 - A supporter base with passion second to none.

now if you excuse me i have to go and prepare for tonights expected deluge of rain!!! my wife and i will be sleeping in damn wetsuits while i have ordered my son to watch over the livestock in the barn. pray for us. oh and that multi million dollar deal will have to wait for tomorrow!

V-man, as much as i love ya, you really have no idea on this one! The club do have expectations and to put it simply, they are, ridiculous. Did you go to the meeting last night? Their master plan was revealed.[/quote]

hi inner
think we may have our wires crossed on this one old mate. of course the club should have high expectations on what the coach should be putting in effort wise. this is an absolute given. knowing how schneemilch and his boffins down at towers road operate i am sure they have a clear plan going forward with expectations and parameters they expect the coach to meet.

sorry if i confuse a few of you with some business world jargon... but what we require is a cross between a business man type and one with some damn administrative qualities!!! who will put in the hours and come to training with match day style drills and a much talked about ‘game plan’.
one of my favourite motivational quotes that i constantly use in the board room is... failure to plan is planning to fail.
what i meant by my first point was... due to the ingrained losing culture and recent history of failure at THE FORTRESS how on this god forsaken planet can there be high expectations on were the club will finish?!? what i meant was the 2011 coaching position is a great opportunity for someone to step in and turn a club around that has been screaming for success for so long its voice box is damn near exploding point!!!

and no i didnt get to the meeting last night... as i was obviously in extreme flood damage control down in verdun and am happy to report we made it through the night with no loss of life. news did however reach my door step of a very professional presentation put forward by previously metioned boffins.
RAIDERS till I DIE!!!

Ironbank should look into hiring out the 2nd hole at Blackwood Golf Course to increase carparking so we can hold a final ;) could still bounce a footy on 80% of the oval last night!

Dont have high expectations for the condition of Birdwood oval tomorrow...

And I wouldnt look too far into Central Vs Country div GF crowd numbers, a huge amount of people just walked into Lobethal last year

Correct Panther. Banker the Country Div Grand Finals over the last couple of years have been bigger revenue raisers than the Central Div GF's. Fact ;) Think everyone goes to that GF to see the Big Man's money go down the drain which they are again one loss off doing again.

What a disgrace yesterdays (saturdays) football was at Birdwood. Everyone will blame the rain but the HFL has a lot to answer for with its draconian attitude to grounds. What an insult to any team in any grade that had to play on that shit hole called an oval. what kind of reward is that for making the business end of the year. Even though I knock them Ironbank must be laughing at the HFL. They clearly have the best playing surface (al be it small) of any club at the moment. But because Owen and his bunch of old fuddy duddies have a no finals for them and Bridgy philosophy it won't even be considered. There is ample parking at the Golf club and on the side roads so whats wrong with that. At least as a paying spectator I will get value for money and see some decent football and not the CRAP delved up yesterday on play dough.

Whilst on finals - last year senior colts got in for nothing as they where deemed to be sudents. I noticed yesterday Birdwood charged anyone 16 or over $8. I thought at least they may have had a student charge. I presume the HFL get the gate so is this just a blatant money grab. I know talking with 2-3 of the HFL sponsors present yesterday that they will be putting thier funds elsewhere next year unless things aare changed to be a common sense approach and equal playing field for all clubs playing or not.

Finals attendance should be encouraged so that all attend regardless of who is playing. We can certainly take a leaf from the RMFL who know how to put on a show - every attends regardless of teams playing.

IB will not host a final even if the surface is good. Crazy to think we can accommodate the crowds that come with finals. People would need to park down the neighboring streets and run across roads to get to the game.

Remember that it is the clubs that determine the stupid policy of having to play these games on Central ovals so that the clubs get the revenue over the bar and canteen. Maybe if we played all finals at Callington we would have high quality football and could help the club out with some $$$.

One would think that using the best grounds would dictate finals footy. Use Callington and give each club the opportunity to run canteens etc on the day so ALL clubs get a bit of the pie. We have the ludicrous situation that Mt Barker may get games next week on that craphole of an oval or Lofty on their dung heap - both unhygenic germ festering sess pools of mud and slush. Once again just highlightsa farcical situation.

uraidla oval would hae to be a chance for next sundays game, its like a carpet out there at the moment, better then playing on a 20 cent coin sandpit that is ironbank.

Geez I could not imagine the pain and agony of having to play on a muddy oval - especially in the Hills in the wettest August in years. How dare the HFL, how dare they!

What an amazing game at Blackwood today.

Goal for goal last quarter with Mt.Lofty getting up in a thriller over Onka Valley.

The difference was big No.1 in the third quarter.

Great game.

Birdwood Oval yesterday was the worst playing surface I have ever seen.

Disgrace isn't the word.

Embarassing.

The best move of the game was to definatly move occo into the back lines and flash up forward where he belongs!

Big flash Benny G dominated the 3rd to haul us back into it. Why were the blackwood boys giving him a spray after the game? Dare say that'll go in the memory bank!

Wel played by Onkas though. They played very well and looked like they had the match sewn up with a late goal. Credit to our lads for never giving up.

Cracker of a game that neither side deserved to lose.

You're hilarious Pres. Playing finals on the cow paddock you call an oval? You're taking the piss surely?

oh, and it has always been that u16's are free and all others pay at HFL games so nothing new here.

Humour me why do you keep referring to me as Pres ? I have nothing to do with Steve Clarke or the IBCGFC at all. I am an old man that has a great interest in HFL footy and have for years. I laugh at your poor excuse of a club now because it has become a joke of central division and I feel for past greats that no longer go to lobethal to even watch. Your feral crowd behaviour after and the last game was apparantley true to form I am led to believe. I know speaking with a couple of your local sponsors they cannot afford to be associated with you any more - embarrassing is what they said. Let your pres know that.

Would have thought parking would be the last issue when choosing finals venues ... surely ground conditions is first and foremost. not the closest parking at league games if you have been to Woodville / Richmond / Prospect
