Just a theory of course. Don't know much about Nunan, but Yeomans has support on this site. And this is the one who made the All-Australian team or the brother? And I wonder how the umpires will see Fisher, everyone knows how good he was at Glenelg, so wondering if they were in doubt whether he would just get the votes because its him? I would be very happy if he won it though!

And how come on the SportingPulse site, you can see some players performances for every week but not every players?

It is his brother, Ben Made the All Aust. side Brad is the older brother and the one who I believe will poll the most votes.

Ok got it. Can not believe how quiet this forum is. Thought with this weekends games coming up and their importance it would be flooded! Oh well, I will have to get through my day reading about other leagues!

I was thinking the same thing Lebron, no posts at all yesterday.Three teams fighting for fifth spot, all currently on the same number of games, you would think Ironbank would defeat Lobethal and Hahndorf would defeat Bridgewater, so the Onkas Blackwood game is the most important. Onkas win I would think they take fifth spot with a better percentage, Onkas lose Ironbank take fifth with a slightly better percentage at this stage, but not all done and dusted. Can't wait for the results, looks like a fine day also, this is bigger than the election! Apart from all that I believe it will be a Uraidla v Mt. Barker GF with Uraidla winning.[/quote]

I would agree with you Spot. I think Uraidla are too good not to make it, and I dream a dream come September that the Roos will still be there on that great day! I disagreee with your Premier prediction though, again hoping that Nunan and Fisher and Block and Marston are too strong for them!

hi lebron
in my opinion the top 5 players plying their trade out at THE FORTRESS at the moment would be
1 Ben Eckermann
2 Nic Malinovski
3 Jack Beverlander
4 Steve Smith
5 Luke Mclean
Charles and Fosdike are around the mark also but have had shocking luck with injuries...
also keep a look out for a local young bean pole by the name of Sam Hutten. he stands about 9 flaming feet tall and this kid can seriously play the game. its his first year but he has been damn close to a revelation out at spark park! Watch this SPACE!!!!

I basically agree with you here V. On the other post they didn't have Eckermann at all, I would say he has been a life saver this second half of the year, agree/disagree?

Ok here are my tips for this week!
Blackwood over Onkaparinga by 3 goals.
Mt Barker over Birdwood by 11 goals.
Hahndorf over Bridgewater by 4 goals.
Uraidla over Mount Lofty by 6 goals.
Ironbank over Lobethal by 8 goals.

So that would make first week of finals looking like;
Mount Barker with the bye.
Blackwood v Uraidla.
Mount Lofty v Ironbank.

I also agree with you Vman, good choices. And Hutten has been outstanding as you mentioned, he will only get better with experience. Panther only one of those players is new to the club this year (malinovski), so we would hope that Shanes departure would not result in any of them leaving. Yes lebron, Eckermann has been sensational in the second half of the season. A great leader.

There was more water on Heathfield last night than Cox's creek has ever seen.
There might not even be 6 goals kicked for the whole game after the juniors and b's chop the surface to shreds.

Calling Has Been!!

Thanks for the ammmunition all year! Sorry you've missed finals. Yet if Loby can beat you in 3 grades including the A Grade (with 8 players out of the side) today, the relegation situation is going to be looked at further this week. Your club and combination of poor facilities may put you in the gun.

You have got to be kidding me!
Ironbank lost U14, U17 by big margins and then get done by the bottom side when all they had to do was roll up and win, (by a lazy 25 goals) and play finals footy.
Either Lobethal aren't as bad as Has Been has been spreading or Ironbank are pretenders. Trooper maybe you have got it right, Has Been you'd better pull the finger out in 2011.
Great to see Onkas back on the winning list, a great competitive history but with little reward for awhile now, I'm hoping for the Year of the Bulldog.

No need to say a lot as I think you've said it all DA. I did warn you hasbeen that the footy gods would look harshly on your club for your blatant lies on this forum. Sledging is one thing. Lies something else. Great effort from the loby boys. To dominate a game where the reward for the opposition was a finals spot was just great to watch. Well done to the u15's and 17's as well. Great way to end the year. Looking forward to 2011. Winners are grinners!

As it turns out, with Onkas winning today Ironbank wouldn't have made 5th spot even if they had won. I think Ironbank's problem this year has been inconsistancy, today they were outplayed by a better side. I think they thought all they had to do today was turn up to win, it doesn't work that way.

Who the hell is 'has been'? Seems to have you Lobey people stirred up thats for sure. Well done to the Lobethal lads today, they played well in less than average conditions. I was a little disappointed that their supporters weren't as gracious in victory. I had my son with me and some of the language from the Lobethal crowd as well as one official was outright disgraceful. Not a good environment for children. I guess thats why there wasn't much of a crowd there.

I wasn't going to mention it but further to the above I thought the carry on by all the Lobethal support staff sitting inside the oval after the siren was nothing short of disgracefull, I know you don't win many games but that was not good.

Re read the post DA, I didn't say we would or even could, this comment was purely regarding percentage.

Ironbank was not consistent enough to play finals and therefore did not deserve to be there, although three teams battling to get into the final 5 with 8 wins for the year would show an even competition with 3 distinct levels.

To you Loby blokes, I don't know who you think Hasbeen is on here, I seriously doubt if he has anything to do with the Ironbank Footy Club. Please highlight any and all of the lies he has posted and set them straight, this is a forum to do so.

Well played to the 21 blokes who represented your club with pride, passion and dignity yesterday, it is a pity your entire support staff brought your club down to the feral behavior we have come to expect from you over the last 2-3 years. What once was a proud and respected club of the Hills league is now nothing more than a collective feral abusive thugs scraping together a couple of wins every 50 games or so. You did no justice to your players efforts yesterday and presented a poor example for your junior ranks.
