'A' Grade - Strathalbyn to beat Willunga

'B' Grade - Willunga to beat Strath

Senior Colts - Langhorne Creek to beat Victor Harbor

Junior Colts - Victor Harbor to beat Willunga

Saw the A grade and the B grade today, reckon Strath will win both, will be a tough day but think they have been the best teams all year in both grades and will be hard to beat.Willunga in the A grade have awesome in the finals, they dig deep and have a great finals record under Pilmore but Strath have learnt a bit since last season and are in good form,B grade, well Strath havnt beaten them all season but on what i saw today against Mclaren,Strath will win when it counts.

Totally agree tatts strath having lost the last two years in both grades should have the hunger to finally go one step further. This will be the first year for a while that willunga a grade make the gf without having any weeks off. This will hurt them i think as they are nursing a few sore bodies. Willungas outs yesterday were woolford, guitnick and genevose still were out also haven't played for a while and with matt thomas going off in 2nd qtr icing that troubled hammy and mcgowan off in last half with a heavily bandaged knee there forward line looks a bit leaner in height. Think straths hard running game will be too much for willunga to keep up with, they play langhorne creek oval very well.
Lets hope close results all day like last years gf.

Good to see, Victor are in a similar boat, actualy a couple of unlucky blokes have missed out. Naturally Victor for me.

I think everyone will enjoy the deck tomorrow it is looking in very good condition all things considered.

Hey old chestnut was one of these unlucky players dropped from victor tom simmons the coaches son or was he injured? Noticed he wasn't playing yesterday as well as jason parry.

Both were dropped, but both had just come back from recent injuries (neither played the Qual final). With Brown and Bell returning, they were the unlucky 2.

Victor were woeful. After a season where they were competitive every week, even in the losses, the last two performances were very disappointing. Similar to the previous week, didnt manage to put a major through till about the 18min mark of the second term, and Willunga had 8 on the board. Then Victor managed 5 in a row. Half time was Willunga's blessing - Victor went back to sleep and that was that.

Hard to gauge how the GF will pan out. Willunga have done very well to win 3 finals, but a wounded Yank and an uncompetitive Victor are a bit different to a rested, in-form Strath. So Strath for me.

Willunga peaking at the right time. They looked a bit sluggish a month ago, however they have really fired up.
Strath will have the edge with a bit more pace, yet Willunga will be a lot taller.
One of Straths strengths is their numbers at the contest and then they run from behind....Carnevale and Baxter the key to stopping that
If Strath can keep control of the footy and run they will win and if Willunga keep the pressure on Strath and Strath
just kick long Willunga will win.

with Strath having both senior grades in the GF this weekend, I find it surprising to hear that former Glenelg hardman and Happy Valley A Grade Premiership Coach Alan Stringer has been linked to the club next year? His nephew Jaimen is currently playin there but i wouldnt have thought that would be a strong enuff link to get him there. Are Straths coaches confirmed for next year yet? Are any clubs?

yer no personnel changes at Yank, all keen to improve on this year. Fair effort from bottom with 1win to playing a qualifying final in 1 short year.

Stringer has coached the Happy Valley B grade (came back to coach his son) in 2010 and all the talk is that he will be at Strath next year coaching A or B grade

So according to the GSFL website the GF will still be at L/Creek this weekend, any word on whether they will be sectioning up the oval like McLaren did it last year?

Is it true that Sherwood is heading up to QLD?
Rumor is that Stringer will be coaching Strath. Whats Simmonds up to?
Sampson, Lewis, Simmo and Bays coach, Brand (sorry forgot his name) staying at their respective clubs.
Pilmore to coach South ressies?
Samuels? Is his time up at Compass, im sure they want to keep him, good coach & bloke. Hills club want him big time.
Mclarens & Hilly??
Goolwa looking...

our season has well and truly finished but we have an emergency committee meeting tonight. Considering the currency creek has burst its banks i would think that creek oval is going under again. Gf will be at goolwa i am tipping

Have just heard that the Grand Final HAS been moved to Goolwa due to the impending flooding of Langhorne Creek and the oval.

Hey 'luvs footy' have heard that creek and strath hotels have ordered a lot of grog for the creek gf and can't send it back now, your president might want to make a call to these guys to make it easier for your late week catering headaches. Going to be a big job good luck hopefully you have plenty of volunteers to put there hands up and help.

Its a tough situation, we will find out the details tonight on ordering food, drink etc. Unfortuantely I think we will have to go through our own suppliers and support our sponsors but we will see. It will be a mad rush. Strath might have to hold on to the grog for their after party

Can you make a deal with langhornes over the food they have ordered?

Yeah maybe, but again we have to look after our sponsors and with the amount of local deals we get it may not be viable to buy Creeks' food. We are behind the 8 ball already because with the lack of time we certainly will not be able to maximise our profit. Hopefully the ground is good, the beer is cold and we can conjur up enough helpers to make the day a good one.
