Who?

Ian & Simon are way over the hill....

 Ian still looks fit enough to get a kick, Simon....he's found his niche at the bar!

I reckon Sam would find these rumours pretty funny though. But $800 a game would be hard to say no too for a young fella!

Good effort by Pratt for sure. He was my most probable but thought there may have been too many others in the Yank side sharing the votes.

Can the McLaren folk tell us the S Walker story? Back to back B Grade Medals and runner-up in 2003 (A-grade premiership yr). Where does he play? Cant crack your A grade?

Have only been at Mclaren for a short while Field of Dreams,Walks plays in the centre.Reads the play well, gets the hard ball and is the B grade Captain. As for playing A grade,in the current situation the club is playing the younger blokes in running positions.Walks is 30 odd so probably closer to the end of his career than the start.Great bloke who just plays for the club where ever he is needed
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Well done Walker, great effort by great player but seriously......!! When are Mclaren going to give up this 'playing the young fellas' bullcrap...!?? They've been doing it since they won the flag and it's got them nowhere. The kids have either got it or not and clearly they don't. How many teams in the finals for the eagles this year...??

We got 2 teams in this year HFTB!!

Congrats to Walks on back to back wins! Great effort from a bloke that plays good hard footy and just gets alot of the in and under ball. Does read the ball well and barely plays a bad game!! :-bd

A well run night last night at the Hotel Victor.

Walker won the B grade count ahead of Perrin Hicks!

Pratt won the A grade count with a very consistent year, ended up on 20 votes.
Zac Ewer ended up on 18 votes, a fantastic effort coming from the bottom side that only won 2 games.
Matt Hodge finished up 3rd on 17 votes with a 3 vote game in the final round.

Well done to all award winners last night and bring on the finals this weekend!

Well that doesnt give it much credit. Hodge was OK by his standards - didnt make our best players though. D Iljcesen was clearly best.

I guess that was why I asked the question. Every club does things differently I spose. We've got older guys running around in the B's too (not winning medals though) and I dont have a problem gifting some games to a colt to give them a taste and to see what they've got - but on the whole a guy should earn their spot. Seems odd for someone to win the B grade medal 2 years running when the A grade is struggling. We've got Jamie Brown still running around in the A's - he is 41! Yes he is keeping a young bloke out of a spot - but if they cant push him out too bad.
