Things going to plan for Compass. Something like a 15 goal to 10 win for Willunga over Creek and 103 to 60 win for compass over yank would get them in.

* /tongue in cheek

Creeks will beat Willunga next week to settle the issue.

After watching Willunga on Saturday and the Creeks 3 weeks ago, I would think you could well be right JJ.

And now the real stuff begins. It would take a bold person to make any big predictions. I think all teams have shown they are good enough on their day. Should be a great 4 weeks!

well picked JJ and yetti. Should be a couple of great games next week. Strange scenario for creek and will to back up again - i remember having to beat pongy in round 18 to take 5th spot back in 89 which we did, only to lose to them in the elim. The following week!

Yes he did well albeit with lacklustre opposition. But he got through which is the main thing.

Anyone see the game at willunga or compass? Thoughts on the games and predictions for next week?

Here is a new topic for discussion for everyone. What is the mail on coaches for next year. Who is staying and who is going? My thoughts are very little movements at all.

My thoughts:

Pilmore
Sherwood
Simmons (victor)
Simmons (strath)
Lewis (i think thats his name at Yank)

Are all safe as houses if they want the job again.

Samuels
Enc Bay dude (sorry forgot his name)

Are 2 who you think would be safe but not as safe as 5 listed above

rumour i hear is Dennis is gone which is a pity cos i have heard some real good things about him.

The 2 biggest disappointments would have to be Hill and Sampson, massive reputations for different reasons and both operating decent young lists but have underachieved badly this year. Although the poor seasons i still think both would be re-appointed again.

What do people think?

2011 points are set.

Strath 11
Victor 11
Yank 11
Willunga 13
Creek 13
Compass 13
McLaren 13
Myponga 15
EBay 15
GPEM 15

yank from 15 to 11 wont give them much room to move next season.

Well done to both Willunga and Strathalbyn for getting all 4 sides into the finals.
Yank a good effort to get 3 sides in.
Victor a good effort also with 3

Langhorne Creek and McLaren both with 2 sides in

Myponga and Mt Compass with the 1 side in.

Heard that Langhorne Creek won with the last kick of the day against an injury riddled Willunga.

That's right Yetti. A fantastic match at Willunga with the lead changing many times. Once again Loccy McGregor was the hero when he took a great contested mark and then went back to kick truly a few seconds before the siren sounded. Next Sunday at Goolwa we will do it all again, if its anything like the game we saw on Saturday it will be well worth the entrance fee.

When you say Willunga were injury riddled do you mean that they had a few out on the weekend or did they cop some injuries on Saturday??

They have a lot on the injury list. Not quite sure if they copped anymore on Saturday.

Indeed it was a cracker of a game at Willunga oval on Saturday! The game being decided with the last kick of the day as the little man from the Creek steered a set shot through from about 20 out on the angle to guarantee them a finals berth and send us into the Elimination Final as it turned out.

Will be a great finals series beginning this weekend with 2 crackerjack games of footy! Yank and Victor on Saturday will be a bruising encounter, 2 big key forwards in Ellis and Dundovic, quality across the park and whoever wins the midfield will go a long way to winning the game. Ryan and Hames v Wilson and Hunt in ruck will decide who wins the game.
Willunga v Langhornes as shown in both battles this year are 2 evenly matched sides. Creeks taking both of the games so we need to break that run and take a win or its curtains in the elimination final!

Injuries/Illness whatever is keeping players out of our side we played with 21 players on Saturday and had every opportunity to win that game and didnt take our chances and the Creeks did!

Mail Medal night Wednesday night, Pratt to win from Mcgregor.

Sambo has been far from disappointing. The club has gone forward this year & whilst we would have liked more wins, it will come. No quick fixes with the point system. Got a lot of games into the young fellas which will help in 2011. The club will attempt to recruit quality players to fill voids that we have in the side. Some good kids coming up next season combined with new recruits will hopefully see us able to compete with the top 6 sides.

Great to finish the season with a win & celebrate the day after with Crap 4 Cash. Big couple of days for some.
