good to see Mt compass beat Langhorne Creek on sat, no real stars in compass side they just work for each other and have a good coach.

Hodge is a very very good player. He contributes whether he gets in their best players or not! His achievements this year not only for Victor but representing the GSFL, Southern Districts and South Australia are as good as any player in the state and its fairly disrespectful to suggest he only plays well against the lower sides.

Compass are a very stiff opposition and had they snatched a couple of games against the top 5 earlier in the year they'd definitely be in the hunt for a finals berth. They just couldnt quite crack a win and its great to see them get the points on the weekend. Maxfields a star aswell, he's one of the most consistent players in the comp and just missed South Australian selection!

Mathematically possible but Extremely unlikely. Creeks would have to lose last 3 games and Compass has to win last 3 games and make up a fair whack of %

Well could the public not have to pay this Saturday at Tigerland after their ticket booth was crashed into in the early hours of Thursday morning! The wreckage was taken away and i would suggest a new or temporary ticket booth will be up by Saturday morning..

Hi fellow GSFL peoples. Just found this place and have enjoyed reading the banter in this thread.

Very excited about the upcoming finals series. Very hard to see who will win at this stage - hugely dependent on which teams can get their stars on the park. Victor have had good second half of the year beating all the sides they lost to in the first round, but have those sides had a full compliment on deck? - I think not.

I thought Creeks were going to play a part on recent form - then they got smacked by Compass! They still have Victor, Will and Yank left to play - they hold their own destiny it seems.

The Willunga/Strath game this weekend will shape the finals series. If Willunga win the top 3 could finish on 15 wins a piece! Amazing.

Yank have had a player sent off for the match for head butting the Creeks' captain. [-x [-x

D. Hamlyn i believe the player was.

Final sore at Yank

Yank 13 - 14 (92)
L. Creek 13 - 8 (86)

With the scores tied, Yank broke the deadlock with a goal inside the last minute of the game.

The moderators have had to delete a few recent posts on this thread. Its been noted that the quality of some of the posting on this thread has deteriorated recently. Lighthearted banter is ok, but trolling is not.

Welcome to the site mate.

Some interesting results for sure today, the most notable one probably being Strath's fairly easy win over Willunga.

Victor's relatively small margin over Goolwa/PE was also noticeable.

Went down to watch Victor take on Goolwa yesterday to see where the Victor lads were at. Victor definately rested a few players but it was a pretty good game to watch. Goolwa were in with a real chance only 3 goals down at 3/4 time. The class of iljesen, hodge and ellis got them over the line. zac ewer very good for goolwa, prob best on ground. Will watch and be very interested to see how victor go in the next couple of weeks once they get a few players back.

victor definitely were light on but the magpies had plenty out as well. The men in orange i thought had a big impact on the match. Just when we drew within 2 goals victor got a ridiculous 50 and one of players was sent off attacking the footy and making accidental contact. Any thoughts on that killa? Victor at their best are as good as it gets but they would concerned by their depth. Their b's only beat us by 9 points
