Only asked as there where no programmes on the day and this bloke was one that didnt give up all though he wasnt the best looking footballer he just kept having a go.

I did like number 25 for Willunga ;)

He didnt get any better looking as the night went on either

What are the thoughts of people on here about GSFL refusing to allow Yank Junior Colt Hannah Crump play once she turns 15 mid july? (girls are not allowed to play male footy once they turn 15)

Were Yank silly enough to think she'd be able to play on once she turn 15 because she had already played half the season?

Are GSFL being stick in the muds for not letting her play out the rest of the season even though SANFL have said she could play on til the end of the season?

interesting one tiger. You may remember gemma wilton that played colts for us last year. She was 3rd on the overall goal kicking and played in the grand final. She turned 15 on august 18 and i have a feeling that the gf was after that date. So we either broke the rules or you can use that as a precedent. We were under the impression that junior colts was the cut off grade not necessarily the age.

does anyone know how you can find out the suspension listings or what comes from a report on saturdays game. Dwayne Hamyln was red carded agaisnt the bays on saturday but not sure what for or what will come from it, heard it was for striking but not sure didnt see it. The old site would keep you up to date with suspensions and reports.

I wonder if Craig Littlely holds the record for the most appearances at the GSFL tribunal as a victim of striking charges?? ;)

quite possibly, but in playing with him and watching him play i have never seen someone constantly get hit as hard as he does and still get up time and time again. You would need to tie him to a stretcher if you wanted him to come off the ground.

Gemma was definately playing at the age of 15 as her birthday is the 18th of August, so what has changed?? Currently there is only one Under 16 girls league in the state. I always thought females could play until they finish junior colts. Bad call by the GSFL.

Unfortunately this debate comes up every year somewhere. AFL Rules are very clear. Once a girl reaches the cut off age that is the end of her footy career with boys. GSFL has made the correct decision as an affiliated body.
At least Football lets girls play footy. Try and get your son registered for U/12 netball...

Terrible call!!! Yes there are rules, but to let her play more than half the season then not allow her to finish is outrageous. The difference Yetti between your netball call and this girl is she has been registered and has played the majority of the games. Not trying to get registered. Maybe the GSFL and/or governing body should change the rule/s to apply at the start/end of the season not half way through season.

Even though SANFL has said she can play out the season and according to other posts on here, a girl was allowed to play past her 15th birthday last year.

Saw strath v victor last round under lights and tim boyd(no.4) was everywhere kicked 5 goals(incl goal of the day hacked out of the air in the goal square) one of the fittest midfielders ive seen in gsfl this year. Definately would be putting a hard tag on him.
