Not sure if Anton Story would be classified as a second tier player as he has always been a gun, he had always just had a few injuries thats all, Could Murray Kelsh be classed as a recruit?

another grub wrote:Coach Bryant is extremely impressed with steakn jnr. Jamie has excelled this year in what has been a dim year so far for the eagles. His fitness is top notch and he presents well, continually demanding the ball when others are holding back not creating options. Runs all day, is eqauly as good above his head as below his knees and is hard at the contest. He seems to have lifted with his brother as captain and he is doing a great job flying the flag for his side. The big improvement that I have noticed over the last couple of years has been in his better decision making and generally good disposal. A very valued member of the Lincoln South Club and a good bloke to go with it. Keep up the good work steakn. A+

go get a room grub!!!!
nah steakn is ok, he learnt alot in 1 year of real footy

Port Lincoln trained well last night by all reports

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

How's the Port Lincoln side shaping up? Heard rumours early on that no one really wanted to play in it....or said they had injuries as an excuse. I'd be busting my balls to play if i got the opportunity, it's not every day you get to represent Lincoln. Don't quote me on that though, probably just a chinese whisper.

With no disrespect to the lads that played againsy GF in May, this side playing on the weekend is looking at being a vast improvement.. That is provided we have no late pull outs... Whether its good enough to beat the boys from up Cummins way, time will tell.
That GF side in the paper today looked very handy.. Hope its a cracker of a game..

shobtop1 i agree, i would give my left nut to play in mortlock for PL. Been in the team twice and played a total of 10 mins probably. which sucked.

i worked really hard in the off season just to play good footy to get a chance of playing for PL. would run 5km every day. got up to a point where i was running, over 10km every run, doing over 40kms a week at a good pace. run a few 20kms one at 1hr 40mins. which means nothing now because of a shoulder injury. footy sucks!!!!!!! just a little pissed!

Yeah that GF side looks pretty strong really. Lincoln looks to have a very talented young running side, so if they can get their act together it could be close.
