Coached Braden Altus in the under 15's last week, check the results tonight and see he kicked 4 in the A Grade for McLarens today!!!! Unbelievable effort he must only be 14 or 15 years old. Hope I dont have to stand him in a couple of weeks time.

The Kid was exciting to watch. Kicked some exciting goals. If he can play a couple more games like that with the big boys he wont be around Mclaren for long...

Well done Braden!

Lets not compare how good he is compared to me WOW, Ill go home a very sad depressed overweight guy. ;)
I think he has been watching a lot of Saintkilda games this year and paying very close attention to one S. Milne and his goal finding skills.

An interesting clearance application i noticed:

Hills Football League SA MOUNT COMPASS Walden, Brett Pending 26/06/10

Presumably would only be playing B Grade.

Why do you ask Shoe Boy??

Southern Districts have their first training of 2 this evening and the side should have a strong Great Southern representation at the carnival in Berri over the weekend.
Players selected in the initial training squad are:
Sam Mcdonald, Marc Elliot (Strathalbyn), Tarquin Brown, Campbell Simmons, Leigh Ryan, Dale Ellis, Matt Hodge (Victor Harbor) Ben Woolford, Mitch Portlock, Brad Haskett, Jake Stanfield (Willunga), John Pratt (Yankalilla), Sam Jones (Goolwa), Aaron Harvey (Encounter Bay), Shaun Maxfield, Sam Baulderstone (Mt Compass), Matt Tonkin (Langhorne Creek) and Ryan Crockford (Mclaren).

I noticed Brett Miegel got BOG on the weekend for Willunga!
What a little champion, i'm surprised he's not in the SD side, as he played in it last year and has only got better, playing good footy in a great side?

He didn't make the cut in the GSFL side which had me scratching my head. The weekend would've been his 3rd or 4th BOG this year. Played as an U21 in Pirie last year and played quite well. If his current form continues he'll get plenty of opportunities in the future.

Give the bloke 10kg and a foot taller and he'd be running around in the AFL.

I did like number 25 for Willunga ;)

SB Andy Mcdonald is a very good player. Can play forward/onball or down back and has made many rep sides over the years.
