We wanted the rain to hold out just one more week as we have Shanty & the pit this week... already got Mt Ronnie out of the way so that would be good to have them both behind us before the real winter begins

Try running a club with no income from home games for that long.
Another gem from the HFL!

I think the business is expanding and with all the trips abroad the great mind that is Vaughan is far to important to concern himself with such small things like football

hi guys
just flew in this morning and yes business is booming very close to finalising the deal.
but sorry to dissapoint you overthehill football is still number one. i will be looking to take a step back in my business if this deal goes ahead and look to recruit a fresh face as managing director. this will give me more time to concentrate on what is important... the mighty RAIDERS.
as for the blackwood match gutted by the result but have to take what positives we can from the match and look forward to ironbank this week. after their recent turn around in form we will be going into the game as the hunters.
lets all just hope the FORTRESS can claim another victim.
RAIDERS till I DIE!!!
V.
ps sorry jq think you have your wires crossed mate.
graduated from urrbrae ag in 1974 and its fair to say a few tins of fosters were drank that summer not sure about this 440ml garbage your on about.

yeah the fortress is my nickname for the ground just to get into the oppositions head and judging by your whinging it appears to be working.
would rather that than have my home deck named after a sandwich.

V, any chance you can fill us in with your business happenings, may have more interest than the constant Raiders diatribe.
Sounds like your entepreneurial skills may see you challenging the Murdoch & Packers of the world in the near future.

Not whinging, just pointing out that it's not a fortress.
And in all honesty, if a company like Subway offered a few grand a year to rename your ground, you wouldn't take it? I thought you were a businessman...

Can anyone tell me how are Birdwood are travelling? Thought recruits would be pushing them up the ladder a bit more?
Is Dave Bradbrook out there still? and Scott Friendly?
