Losing sucks.
Surely these guys are sick of it by now.

If they were losing these GF's by a heap and never in the game(s) it probably wouldn't hurt as much, but the last 2, they've been leading at 3/4 time only to lose after a big Jervois last quarter. I think thats what would hurt the most (and losing the lead with 8 seconds remaining in the match  ).

if they dont they might as well fold now!

I'm only speaking as an outsider, but it has to have an effect even if its subconscious. They've now lost 6 GF's since 2000 (won one in that period).

It certainly plays on ur mind losing a few GFs in a row. It becomes a bit of a tag and leading into the finals everyones talking about it. Other clubs use it to motivate themselves and get themselves up against you and its a hard tag to shake once uve got it!

I think Topcat supports another club Dutchman.

But yeah not much mention of Bluds recruits on here, they probably dont need to recruit that many if they can hold onto the majority from last few years, plus they've got some handy juniors coming through.

Jervois have won the last 4 and have lost Hill but gained a ruckman.

I would say Jervois are still flag favourites!!!

Hill, Baxter (RM), Woody unlikely, lost from 07

I think topcat we'll need to see a list of INs and OUTs for each club before it can be known who will be the favourites, but based on past years and details of player lists known so far, Jervois and Imps should start favourite. Ramblers may have lost a few, but who knows who they've picked up, likewise Mannum, Mypo, and also Tailem who have apparently improved their depth by quite a bit. Meningie are an unknown at this stage, if they've failed to pick up many, they could struggle.

I know Jervois bluded (pardon the pun) at least half a dozen youngsters in seniors last year which should hold them in good stead. Mannum won the 17's didnt they?

My apologies TC, an informant led me to believe you were (or once were) a Jervois man.

Mannun have a very old list of players 5 or so inthe league side . there res were made up of vetrans 'u/17s were competive but will they have enough points to be better than last year the loss of smith hurt them . if he comes back things may be different. i supose you will no more when the clearences start coming in they would have to pick up 7 or 8 and some move to the town .dont know to many who would want to live there they can be a weird mob and brutal to there own
