Anyone have any ideas how to find stats of games played in 2010 for independents? Sportingpulse only goes back till 2011 and I need total games played for players during this season.

Hope his coaching fee wasn't paid in advance? To be honest though, it wasn't hard to realise early on that he was a peanut. I picked that before a ball was even bounced. Not sure of the thinking behind appointing him in the first place to be honest.

Anyone know whats happening down there?

Said player is believed to be not meeting the standards the club has asked of him. Payments withheld until a performance boost is forthcoming.

I hope that was written in his contract, otherwise they don't have a leg to stand on!
Is it the players fault that the club may not have done their homework in recruiting him.

look at it this way... If a dud player is offered $1000 a game, do you think he is going to turn around and say "sorry, I'm not worth that, only give me $150", if the club are silly enough to offer it, then they have to be man enough to pay it or sack the import. If they didn't have the balls to make that call before June 30 to allow him to find another club, again, they should live with the decision THEY have made.

we all know Loxton North don't pay players (insert winking smiley face), so who are you talking about Onsong?. Kaesler is their only recruit of any note and he has only played a few games and has been kicking a few bags.

That's a fallacious statement, DK. From Wooly's appointment he was open and honest that the club was heading down that path of paying certain players. The club won't go down the path of recruiting a quarter to half of a team, unlike some clubs have done in the past.

If Kaesler is owed 4k and he's played four matches, there's some interesting math to work out match payments....

Two travelling players being paid, one of which has a girlfriend living in Loxton. Not exactly footy mercenaries!

Interesting maths indeed. If he was being paid on performance, he'd being asking more than that!!

Can someone please clarify the 'Local' player rule - apologies if this has been mentioned prior. More specifically, would a player be considered a local if both parents originate, grew up in the area and the offspring went to primary school? Or does the player need to be residing in the area for min time period, prior to be considered a local?

A few ways:

1) Parent must be some form of life member or played certain amount of games for said club, can't remember exactly.

2) Player must have played a certain amount of junior football at the club.

3) Player must have played at least 25 senior games for the club previously.

Basically need to have been a junior player to come back and be classed as a local zero point player

First time seeing Barry Kaesler today, bit of a disappointment I reckon, stats 1 kick 1 goal & a yellow card for a pretty low act, maybe it's him North are holding payments from.
BC were you at the Berri game, good effort to beat Loxton, did Loxton rest players ?

Tom Graetz two goals today for Moorook, what's going on there. Tom by my reckoning would be 53.
