Entertaining game of reserves football at HQ. rangers winning easy in the end. With the might of the rangers getting over the line, it was just about the clash of the heavyweights as there were a lot of overweight people running around. I would have been quite at home in amongst them.
Edzel played well and it was good to see those shuiny legs back in action.
Chris Brooks played reserves and one lesson learnt was that he ahs no idea as a forward and was clearly beaten by Turvey of all people.
Pigga my old baseball mate dominated at CHF for waybacks (he will like me saying that) as I know he is a regular reader of this site.

The A grade game was about as ordinary as it gets. Waybacks by 5 goals after being even at half time. The standard was awful and I wouldnt think the premier side of 2008 will come from this match from what I saw. Waybacks were OK but relied heavily on Kelsh one out up forward and you would have thought Owen might have know this but he was asleep.
Clark left crapp-sappsford up at full forward in the second qauter far to long and they lost all momentum and looked like getting rolled.
Hargaans did a top jiob on Goodwin who was hardluy sighted and may has well been on a beach at the Caribean watching the cricket.
Caulfield hardly moved around and was still getting kicks thats how hard irt was out there.
A send off in the second qauter left the crowd and myself in amazement. Umpire Baldock sent a lad of for a high tackle that wasnt even high. It should have been the other way round as Kelsh drove his elbow into his opossing palyer when they were on the ground. maybe steiger might like to comment on it as I cant too much??? The spray Zoomer gave Baldock was over the top but just about warranted given the decision. When the young lad was sent off he went straight off over the line and waybacks protested to the umpires at half time that he couldnt come back on.
The stretcher case in the last term will need to be looked at closely also as it was a cheap shot and the game was well and truly over. What was the wayback player thinking? highly undiciplined and it went totaly unnoticed.
All this talk about youns steiger is true he is a gem of a footballer continually he repelled from half back and claerly beat crapp-sapsford early.
the final verdict was ordinary game, kelsh the difference. Harder didnt play and I cant work out why as all the paperwork was done.

Zoomer while I admire him for his work with freinds of centenary, one has to ask why he did a sayonce over on the high school oval before the game. maybe someone involved can fill us in some more.

Whats the story from the other matches.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

We flogged the piss out of a pathetic south outfit by 11 odd goals. Brett brilliant up forward and Joel came into it late in the game albiet when the game was over. Is that south blonde hair ruckman the guy who is down in the PL Sqaud if so he is no good Singh beat him all day.
Troy Smiths white boots didnt do the trick as he would want to be getting in the best palyers wearing those boots.

Steakn souths were not very honest?

CU can you inform us if you hear anything on the b grade game re a protest ta.

don't like to crow to much about a win, but cougers win over EU today was a joy to get off the tractor for. couple of big outs, havn't won there for 8 years and confidence shot after last week very good win.
eags i did feel for you in the first 5 mins getting crunched hard 3 times (only a bit, i was laughing a little!!)

CU about the yellow card send off, the rule is an absolute joke for that reason. an umpire making a mistake that costs you dearly.

djd Baldock plain and simply got the first decision wrong, a high tackle that was vey 50/50 and then proceeded to bring out a yellow card that we didnt know who he was going to point it at. A holding the ball against crapp-sapsford at centre half forward was one of the most blatant I had ever seen and he failed to pay it. I dont like bagging my own people but he did have a very bad day and I am a nuetral person.
The yellow card rule needs to be looked at if we are goping to use it like that. Steiger and bluestheboy what were your thoughts?

Lets focus our attention to 11am this Saturday now! PL V GF

Reports are the Peckers demolished a pathetic rooster side. RR or scooby were you there?

Yeah quite right Tiger, we were pretty ordinary today wasn't helped by injuries to young Pappy and Jericho in the first half. Bostons definately played better football today and deserved the win. Big Brett Watherston is a gun hey! I hadn't seen him play before. Overall you had a lot more winners today unfortunately for us. So Tasmans got pumped did they? Thought they might.
HS what happened today mate? Just another unlucky day?

Harry Miller played for mallee park and they lifted. He has moved back. They were awesome and would have beaten any team on the EP today.
With Miller back and a full team they look unbeatable.
we were ordinary but did have 6-7 good players out but it was still embarrasing. thank god for the killer bees!

Game at Cenetnary was a dour struggle in the first half, with both sides trying to shut opposing runners down. The second half opened up, and I thought our third quarter was some of our best for the year. Kelsh with 7 was very good, but 17yo Ben Sampson with 6 (4 in the third qtr) was equally as outstanding. Adam Whittaker continued his good form and is growing in confidence and young gonzo parsons is establishing himself as a player of the future. Minya was heavy tagged all day, but still racked up possessions and was exceptional in the last quarter when Rangers were pressing hard. Full credit to Rangers who rolled the dice in the last quarter, and but for poor kicking would have got themselves back into the game. Parker (close to BOG) and Semmler were outstanding.
On young Schreibs, he sadly broke his leg in 2 places halfway thru the thirdqtr and was air ambulanced to Adelaide last night. Was clearly BOG up to that stage imho and sadly was one of those things that happens in footy. I know he has a look at this, so from myself and the WFC, our thought are with you.
As for the yellow card and supposed protest. The only issue was that the young guy walked straight off without going thru the i/c gates. We pointed it out there and then to him, and he immediately rectified the problem. All this despite Tim Allen-Owen telling us to get stuffed....

Goodwin was completely beaten bluestheboy he was hardly sighted all day from what I saw. Just face it he had a poor day at the office. Hargans got 1 vote in the medal voting and enjoyed the prize scalp telling everyone about it at the Pier after the game.
Good experience for young Green who tried hard on Semmler but he didn't have the stamina to go with him.
Who's Tim Allen-Owen?

Interesting how people view things differently. Minya got our auction votes for BP this week. CU your comments are obviously lifted straight from other people who were at the game. I have no doubt that you were not there, and my suspicions are that you were at poole oval.

The comment about the stretcher incident just reeks of someone sh#t stirring. An in the play accident that does not deserve to be sensationalised. Hopefully the lad is OK

Green was concussed in the same incident that schreibs was injured, and took no further part in the game. Spent the night in hospital under observation. At that stage he had done a very good job on a dangerous player.

If you were really part of the PLFL you would also know exactly why Harder didn't play. And it had every thing to do with the paper work.

this post just goes to show where the eyre united footy club is at! pathetic! this is footy whitetips and when you are as soft as your bunch of course you are going to have players out with injuries, that's footy you idiot. you can never expect to have a full deck of cards out there on any particular game and if you are lucky enough to, you take that as a rare bonus. can't believe how lacking of a footy brain you guys are but as i said there is no wonder you have never won a premiership and sitting on the bottom of the ladder but who cares hey when you can win a couple of cartons of scotch....f*ck the premiership! lets have a bet who is going to finish 5th or 6th. that's why clubs with the depth are usually at the top of the ladder, they can cover their injuries better.

bluestheboy and coyote ugly what was the go with whopper?

mighty bomber shanno was a little bit down on his performance on the weekend, he expected himself to do better with his high standards he sets himself.

A bit of tension in the BFC and LS camps after Saturdays game. Allegedly a couple of big hits on some young guys ruffled some fur.

As for whopper not playing, I will leave it to cu to let us know officially what was the problem.
