Definitely not Ironbank.

And on ovals, Balhannah is by far no. 1 in good conditions in Div 1. Milang the best in Hills (haven't played there for near 10 years tho).

Would have to agree with this. Callington is pretty solid also purely as an oval, as is Echunga and Mt Pleasant.
I've said it before the standard of ovals in Country is far better than Central.

Informer - yup, bit of a shame. Passionate is one thing, but the drivel that pours out of Vaughan's keyboard is now taking the p#ss. Any other Raiders out there willing to post in reality?

hi jq
not sure what your god damn problem is but just because i have a soft spot for my home ground doesnt mean my opinion is drivel. obviously made a few comments tongue in cheek comments because i know how much drones like you huff and puff over the state of our facilities.

for crying out loud you probably think that sloped sand trap out at mount lofty is better. its only advantage is you boys get some altitude training when running laps up and down that damn hill.

also a bit disresprctful looking to rest players against birdwood. lets just hope you underestimate your opposition like you did against the raiders a few weeks back. and thats reality mate.

Nobody said resting players V, just not rushing back players from injury & taking risks that may be taken against a top side like Uraidla.

There are many players (about 30) listed in the clearances weblink that have been cleared in recent days, with very quick turnaround.
They source clubs are nominated but the recipient club is listed only as Hills Football League.
Can anyone explain what is happening here????

Probably clearences to Loby and Ironbank, the two clubs who (at this stage) are facing relegation. Can't say that I blame them. Ironbank will be a good side for the rest of the year by the sounds of things. Haven't heard about Loby recruiting yet mid year but would be very surprised if they were not at least attempting.

Had a look and I think they are players for the Jake Watson shield.

balhanna isnt in the top 3 as far as i am concerned. very nice spot to watch the game, but the surface is not good. pot holes everywhere. ironbank is the same, people are gonna get seriously injured on that thing, its disgracful. i think handorf is still the best oval followed by uraidla who have the best surface and lobethal is good on both watching footy and surface.

Balhannah oval is a fantastic suface and almost billiard table like except for the two goal squares it is flat ,even and the goalposts are alligned. Make your own minds up but I think it is clearly the best in the comp.

It was actually Hamilton he went to, can't see anybody taking him on, who would pay out the contract which I assume would have been signed over there, this would include the rather large sign on fee they paid him.

Hey Mechmike.
There are a lot from Strath to Macclesfield. These are juniors who are on loan for a day under a permit situation. They show up as clearances but not permanent.

Ovals,
my two cents, Heathfield circa 2010 ordinary, very ordinary
Balhannah good
Uraidla great
Ironbank no comment
Lobethal - best view on the hill GF day
Nairne - only if the old curtains are still up in the change rooms

M-Master, i believe when you think before you type smarter things will appear on the screen. Balhannah is probably the best surface in the comp. Loby is good viewing but not a great strip. Uraidla is ok viewing, great strip but horrible slope. Id say Get the GF back to the kennel

this weeks tips
blackwood vs bridgewater - RAIDERS to scrape in by 2 goals against the gigneyless woods.
mount lofty vs birdwood - lofty by 10 goals at goat park
mount barker vs lobethal - barker to belt the daylights out of lobey.
uraidla districts vs onkaparinga - cabbage by 10 goals
hahndorf vs ironbank - hahndorf just over an improving ironbank.

cant wait to get out to windy hill and get that winning feeling back. should be a great day kicked off by a win in the top of the table colts clash.
RAIDERS till I DIE!!!
