hi toot
fair call i am not fully up to speed with the ins and outs of how other hills clubs are run.
but if they are doing better than the RAIDERS i take my everlasting cap off to them.
i was just so impressed with the absolutely fantastic function on saturday night and got carried away. one of the best nights i have been involved in.

Did you have it at the club Vaughan - as most your players in past years don't even go in there for a beer after the game they head over the the Bridgy Inn and let the opposition have a beer by themselves in your clubrooms!
Good to hear things are obviously changing!

hi jq
i dont joke when it comes to the BRFC.
no offence to the guys you know but if they are ex-Bridgey how the hell would they know how the club is currently being run.
and business trip was a huge success i am looking at outsourcing my company with franchises australia wide. fingers crossed.

also shocking news about gigney the comp will be a lot weaker without one of its most successful players in recent years. bad luck to the bloke.
with gigney and roache missing from the blackwwod line up that is 31 goals missing from the side that crushed us last season. so looks like AFs strong body work has the RAIDERS a favour.

hi flanker
was eyeing off a beautiful basket of assorted choclates but was unfortunately beaten by a young man in heads and tails. so unfortunately went home with nothing more than a stomach full of piss and the great memories. was hoping for more animal kingdom related questions because that has always been my specialty topic.

Coming along nicely, been running laps at training. Reckon's hes a couple weeks away still.

Gotta go back to Doc and get the all clear from scans etc.

Think he's enjoyed taking on a assistant coaching role and been doing very good job from where I sit.

hi aceman
far from suicidal have just been away on an important business trip.
drove away from THE FORTRESS with my head held high on saturday.
the boys put in a spirited effort against the premiership favourites.
the umpiring on the other hand was absolutely pathetic.
just put the god damn whistle away and let the boys play.

on a side note attended the raiders quiz night on saturday and had a fantastic evening. not being biased but would have to say that bridgewater would have to be head and shoulder above the rest as the best run club in the hills.

Good to hear about the quiz night V, bad luck about not winning.
Haven't been to Bridgy oval for a few years, is it still the case that when it rains, you hope like hell you win the toss and kick "downstream?"

He's been pretty quiet since the Lofty win. Funny that.
Re Gigney - sounds bad and I can't see how it couldn't be as bad as it sounds, that's a comprehensive injury. How did it happen? Someone land on his leg or did someone say he was taking a big grab? Blackwood are still a bit of a force but I can't see them being anywhere near as good without the big bald one.
Ohh I dunno - who's still to come back for the Devs? Flash? This week will be a real measuring stick of where Lofty's at, I think that they have Uris at home.

Was not much in Gigney's incident. He pushed off me when a ball came in long but our legs were somewhat wrapped up. His foot must have been stuck in the turf and he went over. Only knew he was hurt when he didn't get up. Did feel bad for the big fella as he is a good bloke.

Yehhh flash, adam lutjes (westies ruckman ), j brown, big kymbo - thats 4 key position players that releases peterson gray from full forward flash can play centre half forward lutjes and brown to ruck and k artis can be another position or in the ruck as hes been our first ruck atm. soo basicly with the key positionplayers ot come in and some stability i believe with uncertainty of the top 5 they will be right up there

Are all those blokes in this week? Will need them against Uris.
I keep hearing about Chief, forgive my ignorance but what's his actual surname and is he actually going to play?
U/17's Bridgy & Blackwood should obviously be a cracker but could Bridgey win any other grade this weekend? Blackwood will comeback a bit but are tough to knock off at Windy Hill.

hi ace
am possibly being a touch biased again but would have to say that Bridgewater would be up there as the best oval in hills footy at the moment.
grass is a bit long but i know how much the players love playing on the luscious surface and people also whinge about the stone wall but i think it is an icon of hills football and should be heritage listed. along with the green shed.
also the flooding issues are in the past the creek has been bone dry for some time now.

Devils have Birdwood this week JQ, so you would think those players should be back by Uraidla in a couple of weeks. Think Blackwood will belt the Raiders in the 17's..... yes the Raiders are good, but the Woods are a class above everyone else. Not suprising considering the number of kids they have to choose from.

Suprised that Ironbank would take the Chief back after he committed to them & then did a runner for $$$$$.

Flanker - cheers, mate. Yeah you wouldn't rush anyone back for the Birdwood game.
Informer - yup, bit of a shame. Passionate is one thing, but the drivel that pours out of Vaughan's keyboard is now taking the p#ss. Any other Raiders out there willing to post in reality?

Birdwood oval is so far ahead of Bridgewater oval it is not funny. Birdwood have spent a lot of time and money on their oval and have it in tip top condition (apart from a bit of a bowl shape). Bridgewater oval is a small, horrible oval with no where to watch the game, massive cliff on one side, a stupid creek on the other. As soon as it gets a bit of rain it turns into a disgraceful mud pit. V I must say you are very wrong in this circumstance.
