Sounds like Lofty smashed the Dogs early and it pretty much just stayed status quo for the remainoing 3 quarters. i reckon a few teams might be looking over their shoulder at Ironbank and Blackwood will struggle to beat top 5 teams without Gigney. When I suggested to ironbank that they stop Gigney and they win, I didn't mean go that far!
Who's gona stop mt Barker now?

uraidla are better than barker, disregard the result when they played at start of season. way too much class and very well drilled side. thats just my opinion from what i've seen this year

barker are still the side to beat. blackwood and handorf not far behind with uri just behind them IMO.

will be interesting week this week !!!

SK3- a fair call and probably not far from the truth. Barker need to step it up a notch if there gonna stay top all year.
Magpie- WRONG, Hahndorf are not very good, Uri's took you apart 1 by 1. Im sure SK and Vaughan would agree Uri's are a top side and just because you scraped home over the pretenders from Balhannah doesn't mean alot to me

So by the sounds of it, have Uris and magpies lifted since their average starts? Magpiemaster - what's the difference now? Bartemucci being back? I still think that Barker will give it a shot but I also thaink that shutting down Marsten will give the stronger sides a damn good chance to knock 'em off.

gee it could be anyones year at the moment

uraidla - slipping abit but should be there in the g/f
mt barker - big improvement, but with some injuries i believe they will slip dont have the depth
hahndorf - who knows looks like there back on track
mt lofty - never count the devils out still have plenty of A graders to come back in
onkas - were looking good but same story with barker i rekon dont have the depth
ironbank - if they get chief back they might win a few
bridgey - will test some teams
blackwood - a few key position players and they start to crumble, maybe this is the key to beating them, but no 1 can stop the gigney roache combo when there on
Birdwood and lobey - keep on having a crack u never know

Interesting what the next few months will bring my predictions uraidla to win with mt lofty to run home strong

I believe his leg was broken in two places plus his ankle was dislocated.Doesn't get much worse than that.

Can't seem to find anything from Vaughan since Saturday, is he unwell or just hanging from the closest tree?

I heard the big fella had surgery yesterday. An unfair way for Gigs to finish up (if it's the end), been such a good player, both up forward & down back. Played with and against "The Cow" and easily one of the smartest footballers I've seen. Great bloke too.

Hope it's not as bad as it sounds....

He's been pretty quiet since the Lofty win. Funny that.
Re Gigney - sounds bad and I can't see how it couldn't be as bad as it sounds, that's a comprehensive injury. How did it happen? Someone land on his leg or did someone say he was taking a big grab? Blackwood are still a bit of a force but I can't see them being anywhere near as good without the big bald one.
Ohh I dunno - who's still to come back for the Devs? Flash? This week will be a real measuring stick of where Lofty's at, I think that they have Uris at home.

hi aceman
far from suicidal have just been away on an important business trip.
drove away from THE FORTRESS with my head held high on saturday.
the boys put in a spirited effort against the premiership favourites.
the umpiring on the other hand was absolutely pathetic.
just put the god damn whistle away and let the boys play.

on a side note attended the raiders quiz night on saturday and had a fantastic evening. not being biased but would have to say that bridgewater would have to be head and shoulder above the rest as the best run club in the hills.

You have absolutely got to be joking, on 2 counts - head and shoulders above and best run club. One good quiz night (taking your word for it) and you're the best run club? I know staunch ex-Bridgey guys and they said that it was the way the club was run (in the past, admittedly) that was one of the problems. Did your important business trip involve hallucinogens because I think there'd be just a few clubs that might take you up on those claims...

Was not much in Gigney's incident. He pushed off me when a ball came in long but our legs were somewhat wrapped up. His foot must have been stuck in the turf and he went over. Only knew he was hurt when he didn't get up. Did feel bad for the big fella as he is a good bloke.

hi jq
i dont joke when it comes to the BRFC.
no offence to the guys you know but if they are ex-Bridgey how the hell would they know how the club is currently being run.
and business trip was a huge success i am looking at outsourcing my company with franchises australia wide. fingers crossed.

also shocking news about gigney the comp will be a lot weaker without one of its most successful players in recent years. bad luck to the bloke.
with gigney and roache missing from the blackwwod line up that is 31 goals missing from the side that crushed us last season. so looks like AFs strong body work has the RAIDERS a favour.
