Hey Bloodwho?! You out there? Or you still sulking about getting thumped by McLaren in the B's a few weeks ago? Didn't trip over your bottom lip when you ran outa the change rooms again today did ya? How's that ay? McLaren's "B" grade knockin' off the Bay's A grade at the Bay! Bloody marvellous! :butthead:

New ruckman for Mt Compass Sam Baulderstone smashed us yesterday, beat our three ruckman on his own... Best ruckman we've played against yet this year

Great win by the boys altho they had been threatening to do this for a couple of weeks. The boys just looked determined not to let this one slip and played great footy.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

If its the same Sam Baulderstone who played at North Adelaide for a season or two, then he should be dominant at this level....huge leap on him, very mobile and very clean skilled.

Where did he play previously ORDB?

Macclesfield.

We knew he could play don't worry but a combination of him losing his driver's licence and the club and his father - who had supported us fantastically through sponsorship - having a few differences meant he was always heading elsewhere anyway.

Got a lesson Saturday on desire to win the contest. We were beaten in close and found out the hard way that if you give Strath space, let them run and dont work hard defensively they'll cut you apart.....which they did. You've got to admire what Peter Simmons is setting up at the Roosters at the moment with a great core group of mid 20 year olds that are quality players.

Theres no disgrace in a 5 goal loss to Strathalbyn, the way we went about it was disappointing but they do say you learn more from a loss than a win and we've gotten out of some sticky situations this year but Saturday was a spot we couldnt come back from. No doubt we have a lot of improvement and are a better side than how we attacked Saturdays game.

Any more honesty you'd like South? While on the topic of honesty you aligned yourself to Willunga when you first signed up, but that has since disappeared??

Hey BJ, I noticed that Alexopoulos and Guitink both lined up in the 2's on the weekend. These guys have been walk up starts in your A Grade in recent times.. Are they coming back from injury or something or are they simply not in your best 21 at the minute??

Both returning from injury. Alexopoulos' first game for the year on Saturday and Gooch has missed 3 weeks so needed the run.

you gotta wonder how they select the association squads then if alexopolous hasn't played a game all year and gooch has missed 3 out of 7 weeks, and dont get me wrong i am not saying they are not worthy of selection
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

From what I can tell they do pick the association side alot of the time on reputation not on form because Sam Baulderstone for compass was picked and it was his first game the week just past. Even though from what people have written about him he is a very good player, any one disagree.

It is just the squad so far and not the team. There are still a few weeks to go. Baulderstone can play and is a big unit. Portlock????

Yeah I agree...Mitch has played all association games and the State Country games for several years and performed well. The week off might just give him the extra freshness to get another 3 votes and finally get out of his bridesmaid's gear on Mail Medal night. But then again I have heard he doesn't mind slipping on the dress and stockings
