Where is Roache this year?[/quote]
Done a knee injury, not certain how severe but is set to miss at least a few more weeks.
And yes, for all those doubting people out there Gigney DID kick 10 goals.
Here are the official results published on the clubs website:
A Grade- Blackwood 13.13 (91) def Hahndorf 9.8 (62)
Best- D. Gigney, T. Edwards, P. Magarey, J. Sidebottom, A. Whitaker
Goals- D. Gigney 10, T. Kleinig, T. Stevenson, A. Ridley
Has to be said though that a lot of undisciplined acts from Hahndorf resulted in quite a few 50 metre penalties helping Gigs to that total.
Also the Umpiring was well below average, Hahndorf has every right to be spitting chips at the umpires panel this week.

On another topic, if Gigney DID kic 10 out of the 13, it'd be interesting to see Blackwood without him (I think they struggled last year when he was injured??) and Barker without Marsten who kicked stacks this year. Not taking anything away from anyone of the lads involved, but just wondering if both teams are a bit one-dimensional?
Uris A's and B's had a huge day out, what happened there? This is getting interesting...
It's a fair point...
i remember saying last year stop Gigney = stop Blackwood. I know when we beat them last year he only kicked 3 or something and you'd say that Blackwood had better players. He's a great player but you'd sacrifice a player to stop him, thus, in my opinion, stopping Blackwood.
If teams decide to 'double-up' on Gigs a lot of Blackwood's followers and small forwards will take advantage. Before this game he was only averaging 3 or 4 goals a game. Despite him being a very valuable player, I wouldn't say he's the only player capable of kicking goals and winning games.
