no worries mate. i actually think (if what i heard was correct) that it's a great idea. instead of offereing a player a certain amount "per game", halve their actual match payments, but have the top 5 BOG payments a fair bit higher than normal. would stop blokes just rocking up to get paid, they'd actually have to work hard to make some decent coin.

and the Tigers run has come to an end against the old pro's Willunga

down by about 4 goals

level at 3/4 time but you sensed Willunga had more run in their legs and were looking a bit more composed when in control of the footy.

tigers put up a good effort today and they will know they are around the mark.
Success is in trying

Creeks - Mt Compass Night match at the Creek was a very even contest until 3/4 time.
L. Ck 9 - 5
Mt. Comp 8 - 9

Compass probably should have led by at least a goal or two if not for a few shocking misses in front of goal in the 3rd term.

The elusive McGregor blew the game open early in the last term for the creeks kicking 3 quick goals to give the Hawks a nice buffer.
Final score.

Would have been a great game to watch Jim,Compass are going pretty well, hopefully they keep getting better and start winning these tight games, rate them highly, would love to see them there in the last weekend in September against Strath but the old stagers at Willunga just keep going dont they, you have to admire their never say die attitude and their will to win...they deserve the respect they get

I think that shows that we dont stack our B grade if H.F.T.B. gets a game. The coach actually has him confused with Uncle Festor i reckon : :D

Unfortunately for McLaren, their A-grade doesn't have the depth they would like, it's the same for a few teams in the GSFL. They have a huge number of fringe A-graders that means their B-grade are going to be very good each year. But by no means are there any players in the Reserves that should be playing regular A-grade games.

Players like Hilly are dominant in the reserves and would perform quite well in A-grade but where will he be in 2 years?? I would be playing a 19/20 year old in the A-grade to develop a team that can play together for years to come. It's much like Tim Follet playing B's for Creeks. He's had his A-grade days and Creeks have been playing some younger guys ahead of him at times during this year although he could still be a powerhouse in the A's as he proved with 8 goals last week.

Spot on Damian. There is a huge difference between having depth, and A-grade quality depth. There is no club in the GSFL who wouldn't be trying to put out their best A grade team on the oval each week, afterall that is how your club success is measured by.

15.5. Handy kicking and proved the difference by the looks.

Mclaren certainly would like to have seen better results but wont deviate from their plan to build a team around the up and coming juniors. Just need a couple of recruits to help them along the way.

Myponga on the other hand must be scratching their heads. The talent seems to be there to make some improvement, but scoreboard not ticking over. Didnt expect them to beat strath but the scoreline was deflating.
