My favourite was 2008. Great atmosphere at Berri that day, particularly with the Ricciuto factor.

Also a great day although Roo's shot to win it clearly missed.

Yep, that was a stinker of a decision.
Still, Renmark had its chances earlier in the day to win and didn't take them. Full credit to Waikerie.

 I have fond memories of Waikerie. (Except having regular bags kicked on me by Tom Hyde, but I'm no full back)
In the annals of history, it should have gone down as the AFL champion missing the clutch goal, not the other way around.
That's not the case though, thanks to a sub-standard RFL goal umpire. Roo knew he missed it.

That's football though.

One of the best grand finals in recent times even though my team got done and it was a crap decision - but thats footy and the history books will not change. The kick by Clonan/Stevens was a flukey one that landed in Roos lap for that shot at goal came of the inside of his boot and was a kick in hope - the waikerie faithful went mental when the favourite son marked it. Renmark couldnt believe it and just hung their heads.

Was a great Grand Final and show case for the RFL. Will always be debated if the goal was a goal, but who`s to say that even if it was a point that Waikerie would have still got a goal whilst the ball was in their forward area.It makes a great bit of history that the fact that it was Roo it will always be talked about.

A mate of mine asked Roo whether it was a goal and was told to " Read the F** Sunday Mail".
I'm reading a book about anti-gravity. I can't put it down.

Duke was looking over the goal umpires shoulder that day. It was a very sad day for the Renmark faithful, they were speachless.
Barmera play Mannum tomorrow at the Lakeside, how Barmera looking in 2013?

I know his bro is back there. Is that the one you're thinking of, or is Jacob heading back too?

Must be his brother then. Heard uncle Phil has offered babysitting duties each weekend for his kid.
