Sure am, sure did, and what a great day we had. All the best to Goolwa, we pizzed off some ordinary characters like Parry and Boyd and it's been all up since then. Don't spend any energy on >edited< Yeomans and Ferguson - put your efforts into those that want to be there.

whats the latest on this saga i see on the clearance page that they have been denied twice .... time to move on and just let them go goolwa whats the point of stringing this out ??

Settle down it hasnt been strung out and it certainly wasnt a saga, every club on planet earth would have gone down the path that we took considering they were signed on legit contracts and had already played for us. They left the club Monday the 19th (and mind you we have had no contact from two of them) and will be available tp play for Ironbank this Saturday. Considering when it occurred it actually only took 5 business days to come to an agreement. You have to understand that we were awaiting money to be transferred from Ironbank. The finger was always on the button and the deal has now been sorted.

Played one junior TO. Might be in a bit of trouble if your stats are correct. Percentage might take a bit of a dive and lose the 2 pts for a win. Plus all the points scored. Will be an interesting couple of days for The GSFL and the Yank Hierarchy.

Don't the teams have to submit there teams to the league before hand via the internet and are told how many points there team will be worth on the day off the game
Correct me if im wrong

From my understanding both sides select their sides with all senior players being assigned at the start of the season the value of points to that individual. The sides are then selected and entered as normal by each side and it is the clubs responsibility to ensure they are under their limit. This is then reviewed on Sat night or Sunday morning by league officials who ensure everything is compliant.

At the end of the day I believe the clubs know who is worth what and what deductions they are entitled too with other players. This should be the case at all clubs and if not suggest it be looked at and treated properly as the league will be handing out penalties for any breaches.

we hope that they played with to many points the week before against the bays and then the bays get the win! Haha! Surely a fine and a loss of premiership points to date would be approriate. I bet it is just a warning and quick slap on the wrist with no action taken at all though.

From reading the rules on points it is automatic BJ. Loss of 2 premiership points, loss of points scored for and UP TO $1000.00 fine.
It will be interesting to see the scoreline. Yankalilla 00 goals 00 behinds defeated McLaren 6 goals 6 behinds.

The losing side might get some extra % and that is all.
I don't think the league can afford to give them a slap on the wrist....or they will be setting a precedent that could be challenged when we get to the pointy end of the year.

So there is no doubt that they played with 19 points but do we know for sure that they did not have 4 senior colts playing? This would give them the -4 needed to be at 15 points. No where on the system does it identify minus players

LF..I had a quick look at the Team list on Saturday...there was just the one. I did mention earlier this week that they played one player worth minus one point.

Wasn't there some "issue" with Strath and the points system a year or 2 ago. What was the outcome there?

If the allocation of points to the Yankalilla players is correct on the GSFL website and knowing that they are allowed 15 points then there most likely is a breaching of the rules. My maths has them playing with 16 against Goolwa, 16 against the Bays and 20 minus 1 for a colt, making 19 against McLaren. Of course they may have had another colt against the Bays and Goolwa but i couldn't pick who it/they may have been. For Yanks sake i hope there is a clerical mistake somewhere but its not looking good.

personally if this is the case yank should be starting the season at 0-3 with 0%, Nothing personal towards the club but rules are rules and all other 9 teams have obided by them

Just talked to someone from yank there team was approved by Kevin Curren on the friday before the game the points on the sportingpulse site are wrong they had points adding up to 16 points and then played a senior colt to bring them 15, sorry to the teams that were hoping they could claim wins for the first 3 games against the Tigers.

It has never been an issue of McLaren getting the premiership points...According to my interpretation of the rules, for a breach of those rules it was never going to be the case. From what I can recall P.Zwar was not listed as a points player on the Yank Team List, yet he is listed as a 3 point player on the website as at 16/04/2010.

strange happenings. Why are teams needing to get their team approved on a friday night and why are yanks points on the system incorrect? Other clubs including ours seem to be spot on

All i can suggest is that ALL teams double and triple check their players points according to the league , NOT what is on the Sporting Pulse website..

I wouldnt think there is any dramas with currrent teams , because im sure we would have heard about it by now.

so tiger 83 can you point out the differences in points from the weekends team compared to that on sporting pulse. Which ones are wrong? Is it one player or several?

With the points being updated on the 16th you would hope that this is right. Also with so much of the 'paperwork' now being handled via the internet you would hope that a significant matter such as this would be correct.

Would be interested to know who the colt/colts were that played against Bays and Goolwa, certainly couldn't pick it from the players list. I think Crump was the colt that played v McLaren.

Players that played for Yank on Sat V McLaren and points from the website.
T. Fittock.......2 pts
G. Dundovic..2 pts
P. Zwar.........3 pts
P. Mcfarlane..3 pts
K.Lohde........3 pts
B.Kovacic.....3 pts
James Sclanders...3 pts

19 pts less 1 for juniors= 18pts
I think it was Zwar who showed no pts on the team sheet
