Dustin Fromm back to Berri this year. Looking real fit, running sub 10min 3km time trials and hitting the gym hard. Looks "dustined" to kick many bags this year. Not to mention may take out a few stableford competitions throughout the year too.

Dustined to win many golf competitions, regardless of the format.

Put on 5kg in pure beef to take on a key forward role I understand. Will jag a few if given the opportunity.

I heard the Clubs had met with the league last year and had agreed that any local who lives in the region should be classified as a 0 point player, then when they met a week or so ago 3 clubs voted against the change, is this true?
Bit rough if it is considering clubs would have recruited on the points they "thought" they had!

Pretty sure that's not true.

The rule that irks me is that B grade players are worth 0 points and Independent players are worth 2.
Hardly seems fair considering the competitions are relatively even.

Oh ok.
I was told this because a friend signed up for a club in the Riverland and was recently told they couldn't fit him in points wise for that reason.

There was a proposal put forward but got knocked back. Seems crazy that a footballer who lives in a town and works in the town attracts points, look at Ryan Nickolls, he shouldnt be points this year!!

I can see both sides of it though.
Clubs could just lure players here with a job.
But then there's also the players that move here legitimately. Tough decision to make.

On a different note, I see ol Travis Wilson is back in the Riverland. Let the fireworks begin!

Berri had 5 people move to the town legitimately last year for work (two teachers, social worker, pathologist, and a partner of a teacher who was a sheet metal worker in Berri) and it cost us 14 points. Absolute joke that a person could legitametly move to town for work and then face the possibility of being told by the club they can't fit him in because the club is over their points . I'd be interested to know which clubs knocked it back. I think maybe one way they could look at, is give them points for the first year and if they are still here for a second year in their same job, their points are taken away.

Not about to name any clubs but it seems they may have recruited someone else and wanted to make room for them.

that situation is the same for city teams - kids who come to Adelaide to go to Uni and have played a season of A grade (and probably senior colts as well) are 3 points. SO if 4 mates come to Adelaide in the same year they will probably end up at 3 or 4 different clubs depending on points available. Country kids need the security of their mates in a new environment and it's not right that a Footy League can tell stop them from playing together. But commonsense generally doesn't go with being on these boards.
