Birdwood v Blackwood - If the new Roosters gel under their new coach they will push Blackwood and hopefully get up by 1-10 ;)
Mt Lofty v Mt Barker - Probably match of the round and will be interesting to see how both sides go with Lofty losing a couple and the roos picking up a couple of quality players. Roos by 1-10
Lobethal v Bridgewater - With Lobey picking up a few over the off season and Bridgy losing DeVries (their best player in 09) I think Lobey may break their drought at home by 11-20
Uraidla v Hahndorf - The cabbage cutters are a quality unit and will easily cover the pies by 31-40

Onkas V Ironbank - With Onkas new look line up i think they might suprise a few plus i dont think Ironbank will be around the mark in 2010. Onkas by 10 Goals
Birdwood V Blackwood - Blackwood picked up a few and Birdwood lost heaps, again dont think the roosters will be strong this year (sorry Gimp) Blackwood by 10 Goals
Mt Lofty V Mt Barker - Not sure if it will be Game of the round but a great match to watch. I think ill make my way here for the last half. Mt Ronnie (Barker) by 3 goals.
Lobethal V Bridgewater - Loby have got a few new heads but it will be up to the depth of their tallent, they cant realy have guys like Ian Jensch running around in the middle. SL is a nice bloke not the best coach, JA is a To$$er but i guess we're about to find out what he's all about. Loby by 5 Goals.
Uraidla V Hahndorf - Now this is match of the round and where i will be starting my day at. Although i think the cabbage might just have the pies number, i think that Hahndorf with there new coach, haven't lost a lot of tallent (Copper, Wyld, DaBouis i think is all) and have picked up D. Jenner could still suprise, but all and all Uri's by 4 goals.
Have a great round 1 all

Hahndorf juniors coming up will need to be real good, with all the big guns from last year missing the first few rounds.Perhaps we wont see how they will be travelling until round 6???

On Lofty's web page Round 3 against IB is listed as a night game, is this the case?

I think the official program is wrong too. Doesn't list the night games betweek IB and Hahndorf either.

DA, does that go for past wins as well?? ;) ;)

We beat them at Windy hill last year, so anything's possible!! ;) ;)

I just think with their ins and your outs, they'll get up.

But good luck to your boys.

I only saw a couple of names I recognised getting clearences out of Birdwood, and none were in their top 5 last year. What outs are you refering to DA?

Yes, Milang C-grade up and running and a good turnout at training. Well done to Garry Vivian and the boys for their efforts bearing fruit. :)

Have a great round 1 all

Onkas - will be better than last year.
Blackwood - by loads of goals, I expect them to be top 2 finishers but do the usual, not take the big one.
Mt Lofty - in a tight contest. have heard that mt Barker have some handy recruits but whether they're gelling or not yet, we'll find out.
Lobey - to get their first win in 30(?)matches. They weren't heaps far away from Bridgey last year. I'm not sure how Bridgey can have all these recruits yet still be under the points cap, or they don't have the amount of recruits that has been bandied around.
Uraidla - not sure who will knock them off this year.

Good luck to all. Bit of a shame about the criteria of C grade, was looking forward to a couple of kicks, but not 16 rounds!

A few ins to Lofty from GSFL and Mt Barker picking up some Macclesfield guys, late movement. Barker must have loads of blokes out on the track.

JQ, remember that this listing is for all grades not just Seniors. We have a few on the track but a majority of the clearances are for players with dual registrations from previous seasons where they have been junior roo boys but played for country clubs to fill numbers in the last few years and their registration has been given to the country clubs not us, even though they have only played the 1 season with the country club. Lots of messing around just to get the team sheets correct.
