Wouldn't get too excited. I heard Uraidla were up by 6 goals at half time and put the cue in the rack, however that came from a Uraidla bloke so perhaps someone from Willunga can shed some light.

Uraidla looked very good in the first half. I wouldn't say put the cue in the rack Willunga left a few guys to come on after half time like Portlock and completely changed the games flow. Was a great hit out with both sides showing some good signs in all grades.

Was a very good hitout. They are a quality side, their run from behind and the way they spread the footy with quick hands and precise skill is very hard to stop once they're up and running. Half time was a good time to reflect and change a few things which changed the course of the game. We ended up running a lot harder, found the desire to win the contested ball and got the results.

Always funny when a side gets beaten that they 'put the cue in the rack'. Their very good players in the first half all played the 2nd half, in the same spots as the 1st half. Downey rucked the whole 2nd half, Eberts etc were all on the ball. Both sides I'm sure were missing a few players but a bit disappointing they suggest they 'put the cue in the rack' rather than acknowledging our effort after half time was very good.

I guess in the first half we werent trying ;)

Will be a good season again for Uraidla in the hills!

Langhorne Creek had a trial match against Murray Bridge Ramblers on the weekend and won reasonably comfortably. Good effort seeing there were quite a few missing with grape harvest.

I went down and watched a bit of Willunga V Uraidla.

BJ was spot on re the changes at half time. Uraidla looked very good in the first half, with plenty of pace, good hands and very skilled. On a big Goolwa or Encounter Bay Oval they would be sensational. Steele, Portlock and Haskett into the middle at half time and Willunga rattled on 10 goals.
Young Collier looked good, on the half forward flank, Wadders was good on the top wing....how old is he BJ? Portlock in good knick, Baxter looking a bit rusty, but in the hard stuff as usual.
Carnas and Genovese did their bit. Young Woolford has bulked up and did some good things. Meigel showed a bit but still getting used to the Willunga game style. Hams moved well at quarter time and half time when he ran to the player huddle :D . Will kick 100 goals again.

Don't reckon he's played league at South for a couple of years? All the best to him. had a crack, not good enough, so hopefully he can take his experiences back to his home club and assist them for a number of years to come.

Strath have picked up Matt Schrama from all reports. Was one of the elite Vic country footballers 2-3 years ago. Not sure how the body is holding up, but if its ok, will be one of the pick ups of the season

See on GSFL website that Schrama has a clearance in to go back to Warrnambool and Districts FL from Strath. Also Kym Koster to Pinnaroo.

I was at the game and thought Hams moved well when he kicked his 4 or 5 goals, assisted in another 4 and used his body well to clear the path for team mates to attack the goals!! Not just when he went to the huddle Yetti.
