ANY ONE OUT THERE FROM THE HILLS LEAGUE THAT CAN UPDATE ME ON THE PROGRESS OF SOME POORAKA BOYS PLAYN FOR TORRENS VALLEY. CARTER,HODGE,BARTEL,COPELAND,COLES BROTHERS,OMALLEY,HOWE

Bulldog, Carter is an out and out gun.
Had a superb year last year, tying with Daniele (then from Birdwood) for the Medal. Has not had such an impact this season.
The taller of the two Coles boys has been good, Rucking and floating around the forward lines.
Bartel hasnt played a lot. Seems to have been injured often.
O'Malley has kicked a few bags and Howe has been in good form of late.
Certainly these players, no doubt brought to the Clubs through the Coach's generosity, form the backbone of a good TV side.
Not a lot of pace in that Torrnes Valley outfit apart from Scotty Peryman, and I think they really got found out because of that on the weekend against Kangarilla.

Its hard to say if they will hang around though, people do different things they want to spend more time with there friends, business opportunities, UNI studies and what not its to early to call whether they will stay around.

Is always easy to remember when u score a nice ton yaself?? Am I right?

What dale jaensch? Fair enough... thought id put it out there.

Ah maslin would've been a fair bit behind. Delawyer polled around 27 votes i think. Thomas was on 16ish. So would have been more than 10 away from the winner. Probably a fair indication of those 2 teams domination of the 17s this year. Should be rip snorter of a game this weekend between the two of em. Minor Premier Vs Courier Cup Winner.

I've got a flag under my belt, and shooting for another. Pretenders don't win flags, they sit around sledging people who do!

Magpie i dont want to say where im playing as i will probably get ridiculed, and who i think will coach Hahndorf i reckon we need a outsider, like a Grimm or a former SANFL footballer, if dennis gets it he will have to recruit heavily real heavily, and spend money on players who play for the jumper not the player they had this year who did nothing and gave nothing

good call dale, i watched the game on sunday and doubt that ordinary-allen moved faster than slow jog, let alone get a touch. it was actually quite a embarrassing feeling just watching him put in that effort for a once formiddable hahndorf team.. get some more like alf, if thats possible. he's a real player. watching him kick out was awesome. consistantly making the middle of the ground even kicking up hill.

yeh those kickouts were impressive. As for Ormand-Allen ... you would hope hes stopped taking the money bcos wat a joke. Ran out with the team except 30 metres behind.. Didn't do any of the warm up drills. Sat out of the criss cross handball. Just an absolute disgrace. Have some respect for they way you go about ya football. I know i'd be embarassed if i was on those $$$ and acting like that.

Amen to that lads, i did notice that but didnt say anything, i was having a chat to the boys to a reliable source after the game and he was already changed within 5 minutes of bring back in the rooms, that is a real kick in the guts for Hahndorf as they have done it in good faith and they havent been paid back for the trust they showd trent

Gentleman lets remember if our recruits are not pulling the line for the club, we can axe them ! I can say my club makes certain the guys we recruit are their for the right reasons. Probably means we don't recruit as many as other clubs but our locals, that is our heart and soul, remain happy.

Yes, i have also stood and marvelled at the brilliance of Alfy. One of the best players i have seen in the Hills.

The Meadows ground is alright if you can't kick the ball more than 35metres, i would like to think Central would prefer something bigger than a postage stamp. Bridgy is bad enough. I think Meadow would be the club most suited to promotion, but i doubt they could sustain their presence for long.

I reckon the Kersbrook v Torrens Valley game will be a belter at Nairne on the weekend, tough perserverance vs soft class.

DALE re: coaching on another site is the talk of getting BLIGHT to coach again. what are your thoughts on ex coaches like CARLSON or HILLY (both premiership coaches for hahndorf) and guys who the players played for :D thoughts
