Good luck to them if they get some Morphett Vale players, but at the end thats not what country footy is all about. This may sound silly but at the Saints in some instances this year I have never played more satisfying footy. When you knock off a Myponga who played finals footy, in front of a big crowd at home, with an average playing age of 19.5, and 20 out of the 21 blokes live in Goolwa (Brad Yeomans only non-resident). OH WHAT A FEELING. THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT!!!!!

20/21 lol, are the Saints thinking of taking Port Elliot out of the football club's name..could this actually happen, they play most of their games at Goolwa these days dont they, with no players from PE is there any need to have "Port Elliot" in the club name?

I lied!! one player has a Hayborough address which is in between Port Elliot and Victor Harbor. GWW that was one of the major reasons why Goolwa people didnt want the Port Elliot association, we got $10,000 debt, only a handful of players, and no support in regards to people taking on admin positions. We did however do alright from sponsors. I think Alan Pomeroy (goal umpire) and the Mack Family (major sponsors) are about our only Pt Elliot link now.

Go back to the black and white LF, a few old players/sponser/supporters might jump on board too.
I heard a rumor you boys might start pre season early this year mate, any truth to this one?

Willunga have had as many as 18 of 21 that have played juniors for the club, go on and play in a flag together. They have also had 11 guys play in all 4 premierships together.

That is what you call loyalty, and local boys sticking together and playing for the jumper and the club, and if you think playing for the saints this year was satisfying.... Imagine how ya'd feel if ya were to play for D's (all be it in the 2's)

You might have had alot of local kids this year, but the challenge for you guys is to keep them playing, and to get competitve!

Nice one MC... Bit bored are you..?? Check your own back yard buddy, things may be happening in somewhat of a reverse role to what you think... Involving a quality left footed ball winner... Does that give you enough clues..?? Things may not be all as they seem down at Demon land..!!

The only left footed, ball getting, boxing demon that I know has about $300 bucks worth of fresh body art that suggests he's pretty happy where he is.

Just heard from a reliable source that the wilsons will be suiting up for the saints in 08 , if that is true thats a big plus for them and a big loss for goody saints . How did they get such high quality players to their club with such a bad year in 07 .

Points System means no salary cap. I think we might find there will be some quality players running around in the GSFL.

The Wilson boys last I remember werent that flash they must have improved!

GA we will never know.

I know Id like to think all clubs were abiding by it but theres definitely some clubs that i look at and cant see how they were under.

Doesnt matter anymore, pay what you want for players now, sadly clubs that dont have the funds just wont get the players theyre after because they will be outbidded! Hopefully this system works and the comp gets stronger although i cant see it being better.
