Is anyone here aware of game locations and dates for Indies finals series? Do they have to be played at neutral venues? Will the GF once again be held at Paringa?

Yeah I should clarify it wasn't te whole team. 2-3 blokes only. Game was played in great spirits apart from that and was very close for 3/4.
Another mkfc player down with a knee though.

Very similar to the incident which happened in the BSR v Lyrup game that the tribunal threw out!
Don’t get me wrong im a big believer in what happens on the field should stay on the field but you don’t expect to get king hit from behind in a game of footy either!
Would be very interesting to see what had happened if our guy had gone to the Police and a charge of Assault was proven but the league had thrown it out!

Could it have been scripted any better? Paringa v BSR for the minor premiership and a close finish for fourth spot between Lyrup and Cobby.
In the RFL, Loxton North and Renmark will battle it out for fourth, although both have two tough remaining games.
See what the Armchair Experts think:

Can the RFL reveiw the findings of the commission that night.... maybe if possible that decision should be reveiwed, as I have only heard through the grapevine.... the evidence given by the umpire was very shallow..... maybe he should be given an opportunity to look at it again...

it was a goal umpire that filled out the report, probably didnt fill in the paperwork to the standard they expected. Given the past history of the player and the seriousness of the charge you would think they could spend some time looking into it. i know i was prepaired to be a witness but was never asked.
As the field umpires didnt see it this probably gave them another reason to throw it out but what message does this send? If your gonna hit somone do it while the balls up the other end! Mind you the young umpire atthe time looked and knew somthing was going on as our guy was on the ground but chose to ignore it!

mmmmm..... I know the commissioners listen to heaps of excuses from the reported players..... but when there is such incidents that there is no other way than the obvious, surely he can make some assumptions and given the goal umpire hasn't had the experience previous at tribunals, he could have been more supportive.... this type of behaviour MUST NOT be dealt with softly.... it is a duty of care for all players..

It's a bit like a court of law though unfortunately. If you don't come prepared with all the right info, it's going to get thrown out. I went one year with a young lad from the under 18's as his representative and i basically got shot down the moment i walked in there when i tried to put forward his case. It was my first time there so i had no idea what to expect and because i wasn't prepared to put my argument across in the correct way, I had no hope. Probably the same thing applies when it's on the other side of the fence too. Unfortunately, if a loop hole can be found, it's easy to exploit it. I feel sorry for the commissioner because at the end f the day, he can only go on the evidence that is put in front of him.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

i think i support him for ignoring it. if we want umpires to assume they knew what happened, opens up another can of worms? perhaps the umpire should have asked goal umpire etc at the break what happened or something like that.

Don't start making common sense, it puts me in a different frame of mind...... you and I both know and respect the commissioner, I've played a lot of footy with him.. and I know his attitude to this sort of thing... but.... he could have adjorned the case, as has happened before, and told the lad to get his evidence together, given the seriousness of this case. As the article in Adelaide Now, lets act before something like this happens.... I do know in Darwin that the tribunal is ruthless towards any reportable incident... and in cases as this they have handed down a couple of years penalties... maybe this is an answer...

Apparently ramco rested some sore players to get them right for the semi final. Maybe they didnt want to play Lyrup
