The Warriors will bounce back, they always do and they arent the only Independent club that finds themselves in this position from time to time.

Because the Independents only have one grade their lists generally sit at a little over the 22 players required. It is pointless running a list of 35+ players and have so many sitting on the sidelines. Having been involved with Independent clubs at both ends of the table, I found the ideal number to sit on is 27-28. If you lose players early in the year you can bring in a replacements. However if you are sitting on 25-26 fit players two weeks out from finals - 4 players miss out and you can be sure they will be looking elsewhere the next season. The 22 player a side was instigated in 1992 so clubs could keep players interested.

Moorook have had a bad run with injuries this year and their depth has been tested. This usually means bringing a few out of retirement or pushing your colts up to A grade. East Murray and Wunkar have found that they are better off playing a colt rather than bringing in an unfit fill in.

Interesting to see that Moorook have at least 4 players seeking clearances to them this week so it looks as if they may be bouncing back already.

I'm not sure the four clearances will have an impact at senior level, surely they're just to play colts.
One of those on the clearance list is the son of a former Warrior. Actually, two of them are.

Renmark must be disappointed with their recruits surely. Not sure if Loxton got up today but they were leading at 3/4 time and victory would see renmark to last. Matt Camplin is the only one worth his money. Number 9 (Taylor), overrated to buggery - i would hate to be leading to one of his kicks. Blease - only just an A grader on a good day, will never be a match winner. Pitt, hasnt done nowhere near enough. he is well credentialed but delivery is poor and the club would have expected more i reckon. If he kicked 70 goals in Div 1 last year Div 1 is nowhere near as good as its cracked up to be. Quite simply - he is too old IMO and all defenders have beaten him so far this year. Have watched them several times now and the season looks long for Blackers - he must be tearing his hair out and the coffers at renmark are gunna be lighter for the experience.

I'm sure Steven Pitt would be the first to acknowlegde that it hasn't been his greatest few games, but we loose sight of the fact that he is at the end of a very good football career. He never said to anyone that he would tear this league apart.

But if your gonna take the ca$h - expectation comes with that. Cant take the money and underperform. Not denying he has been a great player in the past - Im sure he has but Im talking about Renmarks value for money this year.

Like it or not, in the Riverland and Mallee there are too many football teams for the population. Something is going to have to give eventually, as it did in the Mid Murray.
Don't be scared. Now is not the time!

Have heard that young Kirk has done a knee did not look good, the red card was handed out too Hume, also there was full on brawl in the Berri/Barmera U18's,both sides had a player red carded, then at the start of the third quarter umpires ordered a head count and found that Barmera had one to many players on the field so they had their score put back to zero which i think put Berri 3 or 4 goals up, but to the credit of the young Barmera lads they kept on having a crack to end up winning by 4 points

That U18's game was probably the biggest dissapointment in my footballing career to date. Definately not looking forward to training tomorrow night. Everyone would have expected us to get a bake after the game but our coach had the same feeling as I did and was just lost for words. Very intrigued to see how we bounce back this week. Definately not the best day at school either!

No confirmation on the Barmera thing as yet from my understanding.
But it definitely wouldn't surprise.
Snoopy apparently changed the topic very quickly when asked about it the other day.
