Wade Stevens first preference was MR but they weren’t prepared to offer him money and wanted him to do all the letters etc to get around the untouchables list. They told him your welcome, but we’re not going out of our way. He is very high maintenance!!

Off to Waybacks he goes, who aren’t doing the above according to Rossco (wank wank) and what do you know there’s a clearance sitting in the PLFL!! Rossco wants players there for the love of the jumper, but chases Stevo who has had talks with TB, Yeelanna & MR.

It makes me sick....

I just looked on page 2 of the paper and the council are going to pay ravendales loan payments that they cant make and then take that out of next years budget.
Do you ratepayers knoew this is going on? and this is where your money is going?

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

We have to pay money anyway and thats never going to change so it might as well be to something thats constructive in the sporting community like Ravendale. Anyway back to the footy, this isn't a frigging political thread :D

Mallee Park led by 43 points ten minutes into the last quarter but only managed to hold on for a 4 point win after a spirited late fight back from Marble Range but it was all too late. Mallees looked very impressive for the first 3 and half quarters with plenty of pace and willingness to work hard and protect for each other. Joel Tessman and Stamford Wanganeen were very good in the middle and set up a lot of play with their class and experience. Worrying signs for the other 5 teams that the traditional slow starters were able to put in such a good display so early in the season with plenty of improvement still to come. However, once again their discipline late in the game let them down and other teams may be able to capitilise on this throughout the year. It looks as though they haven't been informed of a few rule changes over the last couple of years (or they just choose to ignore them) with plenty of hands in the back and interfering with a player after a mark when not in the contest and plenty of 50 metre penalties been rewarded against them for this (but probably should have been more). Interesting to see that last years PLFL leading goal kicker, Phillip Dudley was playing in the reserves.

Marble Range once again showed they are a class side to be able to come back from such a large margin late in the game. Semmler's work ethic and class was phenomenal, Schreiber provided plenty of run from defence and hopefully he can go back and continue his good from with Port Adelaide. Who was number 17 for MR? He looked very impressive up forward and looks like a very handy pick up for them.

I have been requested not to post on this site by the club so I will not do so anymore. I did make an agreement however that I will make 1 more post on Saturday September 20 at 5.30pm.
What did you think of the ravendale game AG, steakn , kocksy? To give you some credit I thought you did a good job to stay with us until half time. Yooeey kicked 8 and is a shining talent up forward and the delivery to him was great.
Very small crowd on hand at the football where were all the south supporters?
Great initiative to have night hockey after football aswell, makes for a great day of sport.

From the Friday game I thought Marble Range played several players that were not up to standard, I dont know who they were but they were numbers 10, 13,14,15,17,24. Mallee Park looked speedy and clearly turned off late in the game.

What happened in the Centenary Saturday game?

Remember my signature in the back of your mind during this season :supz:

One of the happier moments of my day was that RR mentioned he wouldn't be writing on the thread again until after the Grand Final when he's finished watching two teams completely foreign to him playing in that final match. Why he is going to comment then i wouldn't know  Waybacks won by around 5 goals apparently, in the Ravendale game i thought we played three good quarters, but Tassies played four and got up, what more can i say. How long is Jamie Honner playing for, was that just a once off game on a permit?
