Looks like Galpin will be doing some travelling!

New Strathalbyn coach Peter Simmons met with his players on Friday night and declared that he has not taken on the job to make friends. His first order of business was to demand that all players (including those based in Adelaide) attend training on both Tuesdays and Thursdays. Lets hope that Simmons is able to find the balance between instilling a work ethic and making the club a place where the players want to be - something (it would appear) he was unable to do at the bays, and something intrinsic to a successful country footy club.

Thats all coaches and clubs dream but in a real world the players at these country clubs have family and work commitments. I wounder what the punishment for players not attending will be? If it means they will not be up for selection one P.Eatts could be playing in the B's, that bloke runs his own farm and is lucky to train once in three weeks sometimes and only sleeps one night a week.
Town players training two nights a week, week in week out is unheard off.
GOOD LUCK WITH THIS ONE SIMMO!!

Have just read on SANFL Forum that Big Dugga Warren has signed on with the creeks.

Wonder if any other South boys will head up there with him. This Points system will interfere with any heavy recruiting by all sides but even 3-4 players he may bring with him will definitely strengthen the creeks squad.

Any news from elsewhere?

Creeks would be glad to have Warren beacuse King is definately gone (Back to Vic), Buckley, Love and Manuel are doubtful as well.

Eatts didn't play at all until round 9 in '07 because Donaldson implemented a similar (but to lesser degree) no train, no A grade game policy. Eattsy wasn't interested in playing B's so he said stuff ya's, I'll keep my 250 game champion arse on the tractor on Saturdays until you blokes give me something better to do. Very interesting times in Roosterland...

River Murray league due to travel committments. He lives at Karoonda which is in the middle of nowhere. Highly doubt he will play against his former GSFL team in the Saints!!

Kruges would be in the same boat as Vicky. Couldn't imagine these guys playing against their former clubs

If true cant knock the creeks in who they are looking to recruit.

Both played State Country this year and are both quality and are mates with Ben Warren.
Get those boys there and Dugga will definitely sign on to come home you would imagine.

you cant blame the creeks for having a go, but personally I wouldn't go looking to recruit former juniors of other clubs. All clubs need to encourage ex juniors to return home if possible, to ensure that the league stays strong!
