If Bostons v Mallees goes ahead it will be as quiet as a mouse out there.
the crowd will be small with plenty of parking for the unmarked police cars :D
Anyone with O/S warrants certainly wont be there :D

Any news on the BFC / MPFC/ PLFL meeting tonight?

Neither club budging, which means BFC will probably forfeit.

then this closes the door for change of venue for Mallee/ Boston clash

It could now be played at Centenary.

On another note, I liked what the Cricket Assoc did after only three years of MP not providing score cards, not showing up for meetings, basically not fulfilling their obligations, kicked them out of the competition. Best thing the PLCC has ever done and showed some authority and that they will not be treated with contempt.

BTB, there is only one club holding the PLFL to ransom, and it aint Bostons.....

Exactly right, as ive been saying they are a law unto themselves and they will continue to do it...anyone who thinks that banning them is going too far - are as guilty as league is of just sweeping the problem under the carpet and pretending it doesnt exist.....

WFC/TFC was moved so that Centenary could have a rest. Oval is shagged.

There will be no game there...

7p.m. to make a compromise, or the game stays as scheduled- UFC Oval, and the mail is that BFC won't front.

Just reading the Times...

If Vladge is 57, and his last "mouthful of beer" was in 1962, let's do some maths...

2010-1962=48

So hasn't had a beer for 48 years...

57-48=9

Ended his drinking "career" at 9 years old...

Also, Marty and Eski donning the boots this weekend??? Gawd Bluey!

Roscco could confirm, but I'm pretty sure Vladge was a regular at Waybacks for their Friday night happy hour??

Vladge is still a regular for the Friday night members draw. Not sure what beverage he has.
Drove past centenary today - it looks buggered to me, especially the centre square. Surely couldnt handle a day of footy.

So we apparently get a "Definitive" outcome tonight on the MP/BFC saga.

Seriously? With meeting #1 being ducked by MPFC, and meeting #2 resolving nothing, the PLFL should have grown a spine, and said that the match is scheduled at UFC Oval, is a Mallee Park home game, and they are not prepared to move.

Therefore, match gets played at UFC Oval, or Bostons forfeit.

I've taken my Tigers hat off on this one, but clearly the ball is in Mallee's court, because they can change the venue, but the ultimate action (as a result of inevitable PLFL inaction) ends with Boston. They have to make that decision to play or not.

The match will be done and dusted (if it starts) within 48 hours of now, and the venue isn't even confirmed.

Not sure how it went down, but got it reliably that there's no game Boston v Mallee.

Hope it makes the front page.
