South Gawler looked fitter and used the ball much better then Elizabeth. Dont know the players so cant comment on individuals.

Its been a while for the boys in hoops but perhaps this year they could be involved in some September action.

Barossa played Jervois on the weekend. Jervois by a few goals in the A's. Barossa had a big bloke at CHF, called him Heater i think, that looked fairly handy.

That would be Heath Commane.
Had a go at a couple of league clubs without really cracking it.

Kicked 60+ i think last year in the BLG.

How do Jervois stack up if your were looking at getting a gauge on Barossa?

Would a Tanunda local be able to fill me in on how Nick Schmidt is travelling? has he played in any trials and where is the coach playing him?

At this stage no trial games, 2 to come. From what I have heard Nick has been looked at as a utility type player but he will probably find himself playing off the CHB line but with the idea that he is very handy all round the ground if need be.

Angaston is hosting Old Ignations this Saturday at Angaston.
Like Tanunda, Angaston will also play Loxton North up there on the 4th of April.

Look forward to see how Hadden has primed his charges for 2009.

Angaston seem to be recruiting a lot of good onballers / flanker style players. Can anyone from Angaston confirm whats happening with the recruits they have had over the past couple of years. Is Brandon Kurtz still at the club and if so how is he travelling

Neverbeenunderapack - Yes, Brandon is still at the club and doing very well, he often plays a well calculated free running game across the half back line, and was unlucky not to get a call up in the association side last year. He is an example of a fine red wine, he keeps getting and looking better with age. If there was ever an example of being only as old as the women you feel, Brandon would be your man.

I'd think a full strength Tanunda would beat North pretty comfortably...
